I cannot wait until they start popping in the Midwest.
It seems that every winter is longer and the wait for spring and morels just gets worse and worse.:awesomenod:

I'm planning on hunting for these for the first time this Spring. You think they're already popping up in Tennessee?

That morel was found in Knoxville. They wont be out in large numbers yet - still worth looking though.

Awesome, I'm just a little ways west of Knoxville. If it isn't still raining, I'm gonna go look around some in the woods. If I find anything, I'll post some pics!

Sacramento area, but it's a quick drive to the Sierra Nevada foothills (grass valley Auburn Nevada city), wich is where I planned to hunt.

it will be a long while until we see 50 degree soil here.  I was ice fishing last night on 12" of hard ice.
