So I have a monotub that is just starting to pin. I got some pins that are growing and the rest of the tub is full of knotting. I plan on leaving my place for spring break on monday and wont be back till later in the week. I was wondering if the tub would be alright on its own and I could just come back to a full tub. Would this work or would my tub be doomed without misting and fanning?

I'd give it a nice misting before you left, & make sure the poly is perfect in there w/ an oscillating fan in the room to circulate air, make sure the fan isn't point directly @ the tub.
It'll be fine. Mushrooms grow themselves, really. You'll come back to a bunch of purple mushrooms & substrate, but that won't hurt anything.

the major advantage of monotubs is the way you can essentially leave them be from spawn to fruiting without ever opening the lid. they'll be fine while you're away

when i dont mist or fan my monotubs i still get mushies
