Pics of the jars would help... however i've had jars take 1.5 months to colonize (thats it 56-59 degree weather though)

You can't rush nature  If something is growing then you are seeing signs of progress. Are you doing Pf tek? What strain is it? If it's pf jars do you have the inoculation holes left open for GE or is the top covered? Being covered could cause the stall in your growth. Pics as suggested would also help. Is the uncolonized substrate looking any different then it did at the start? If it's looking darker and wet it could be bacteria.

I've had jars take well over a month and jars finish well before 30 days. Strain and genetics plays a part. Recently, this is on wbs,my Puerto Ricans were damn near finished while my Pes H was only starting to show growth in a few places. Both inoculated on the same date.

The patience will come with time in this hobby. I think after the first grow and you have a better idea of whats going on it's easier to kick back and not stress.

pics will help..

3 weeks has nothing to do with patience.. I wanna say its moisture content.. thats usually the problem i have seen with jars not colonizing/colonizing slow..

ya know, I thought it was me.. hahaha.. all the times i have ever had that strain, it always colonizes slow as shit.. haha

and yes.. genetics have a MAJOR role in the end result, but even then, genetics that dont show growth in 3 weeks need to be eliminated from your project, simply because, even though they might finish, the genetics are obviously crap to begin with..

for me, if I see stalling or anything odd going on after 2 weeks, i toss them and start over.. not worth wasting another week.. plus, because of the nature of grains and the fact you can shake them to distribute them, makes colonizing faster anyway..

in short, start over.. lol

where did you get your spores from?

I think most of us use a combination of weed and just making up new jars.

:whathesaid: Find something else in the hobby to keep you busy/your mind off the jars. It's hard not to look @ them every 12 hours when you're a noob, but if you stay busy, you'll find yourself forgetting about them.

There's always work to be done in this hobby.

Fixed.

Glass-front cabinets are ideal for this reason.

Yea, I got tired of cleaning the exterior of my jars w/ nailpolish remover...damn sharpies...

:strokebeard: they turned out fine...thanks though. That's about a month old pic.
What seemed funky about them though? They were a G2G...

Bummer, that's not going to do anything.
You need to start some fresh jars.

Hard to say. Old/weak/contaminated spores and/or incorrect jar prep. Could be a lot of things.

I'd start some new jars, preferably with new spores. And get a pressure cooker, it opens up a lot of options.

order your syringes from a sponsor here

I recommend ralphstersspores.com or sporeworks.com

PC your jars for 90 minutes for best sterilization
