Yeah I take the top container off, put foil down, and put the regular lid back on the container till shes ready to go.
That thing works for me greatly.

Approx 6 years ago...I observed...

Spores from PF were used to inoculate standard PF jars.  The jars were stored in the dark until full colonization.  At that point the jars were placed underneath a bed. (bed frame, approx 6 inches of vertical space)  I'm not sure the time frame, but later I noticed pinning in vitro.  The jars were left untouched. As the moisture and BR was being used up, the cakes began to shrink and the mushrooms began to form full fruits under glass.

There was room for the fruits because of the cake shrinkage. After the first flush,  the dry verm was removed and the fruits (conformed to the shape of the jar) were picked.  After 3 flushes the cakes were dunked in the jars for 18 hrs.  There were two more decent flushes.  All grown in vitro.

I've heard that the PF strain (Matais Romero I believe) pins well under glass.

Remember to take the tape off the holes.  (Tape is really only for PC, not colonization.  Thats what the dry verm is for.)

This was the only time I have observed this and it was so long ago that I cannot name any more specific factors.  Good luck
