My neighbors dog Hank had a seizure
    #14066764 - 03/04/11 02:52 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I walk by him whenever I walk my dog and he's always there on the front lawn to say hi.  Apparently he had a seizure and can barely walk and will be put to sleep in a couple weeks.  Sad stuff.  My dog is getting up there in age to(he's 11) and won't last forever.  Savor the precious moments in life for it's only temporary on the physical plane.

probably something to do with chlorinated hydrocarbons sprayed on the local flora. Ive heard of dogs/cats going into seizures after someone sprayed their yard with pesticides.

I find it amazing the amount of dogs receive (and deserve). Its interesting how in a few centuries we've made so many different kinds with so many different personalities. Real sorry to hear about this dog but I think its important to think about the joy he brought into the world. I really miss having a Dog, jealous of all you guys who have a best friend at your side whenever you want.

My dog has frequent seizures, some months are better than others. As most mammals who have a seizure there is the obvious immediate loss of motor function skills and basic cognitive ability. Yet it's rare for a single seizure to cause such immediate and lasting damage such as the ability to walk like you've stated. It sounds more plausible that the canine has suffered a stroke.  :sadyes: Best wishes to the pup.
