Help needed PLZ Help

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this, these websites(shroomery, grasscity, rollitup,...) are so freakin confusing, being stoned doesn't help either, anyways, I just intented my first shroom growing about 3 weeks ago with spores bought through one of these online websites, after 3 weeks none of the penis envy jars showed anything(thinking spores were dead when I got them), and all others are doing fine out of 3 starins. My question: from what I see in most videos, the jars start colonizing from the bottom of the jar to the top, but most my jars have spots here and there, some on top, some in the bottom on one side not the other and so on. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I'm growing in BRF/Verm in pint size mason jars. Also could there be any other reason Y penis envys don't show any colonization? Please help me out here and if pictures may help I'll post them up as soon as you let me know, thanks everyone for helping out a fellow starter here and in case if you're growing bud and having problems I perhaps can help.

for a simplier laid out tutorial visit mushroomvideos.com
1 pint jars are not recommend, the 1/2 pint wide jars are...
as well the spores will start germinating wherever you shoot them, first...so ifyou injected on the side then thats where they'll show first signs.

THNX for the info, here are some pix, my 1 pint jars are only half full, and also I did shoot the spores along the inside of the jar but since I've never seen them colonize in person I don know if its normal for them to grow only on one side of the jar?And is it ok to be touching the jars every now and then, picking them up, putting them down???look at the pix and let me know plz thank, Sorry It doesn't let me attach pictures

I'm not sure about that but they look pretty white to me, any other way to tell besides the color?

if you have a dry verm layer then remove the foil, i myself dont see a verm barrier in any of your pics, so im not so sure about that...and there's no cobweb in those jars...
like said earlier dont handle the jars much, and if you do happen to have a dry verm layer on top then remove the foil, if not leave it on.

The reason you no longer have a dry verm layer is because you used pints instead of half pints. When inoculation PF tek/BRF jars the needle should "pierce" the dry verm layer & you should shoot, against the glass, into the BRF+verm mixture. Since you used pints, you couldn't get your needle down far enough. Therefore, your verm layer became colonized.
You're going to have to leave the foil & def. don't touch them anymore..GL

i have never had troubles with the pint size jars,, the thing that sucks about them is they take a lil longer to colonize

Thanks, that was great advice and I think ur right, when I was injecting the spores, I didn't stick the needle too far down because I had only sterilized the first inch or so of the head of the needle, so I didn't wanna get the rest of it in there, seems like I have to buy some half pint jars now instead for the next grow. Thanks again for ur help.
