I would say the true purpose of our existence is not to be such a fucking dick about it.

true nature:that the universe is made of consciousness. work together:to create a better world. maybe i am just being too utopian, and that humanity knowing certain things still might not make a difference.

Be such a fucking dick about what?

Do you have any proof for that?

You don't think people do that right now?

Uhh..I don't think that's the word for what you're being...

What do you mean? Us knowing things has made a pretty huge difference, just go to a big city and marvel at the huge skyscrapers; none of those would be there if our knowledge did not make a difference.

But you are not fulfilling the purpose of existence I have outlined in my previous posts! BAD Salomon! You fail completely as a Chanian and I excommunicate you from my nascent cu--er, religion!

i dont have proof that the universe is made of consciousness, its just a theory that i am leaning towards.
i dont feel that people are working together to create a better world, there does not seem to be any evidence of that.
if not utopian then what?
knowing certain things has made a difference to some, but not all, i dont really marvel at city's with skyscrapers, they seem to me more like a dirty cancerous growth.
advances in medicine and some technology are things to marvel at, but still only for the benefit of some.

Why are you leaning towards it?

What do you think everybody who has a job does? Most people who have jobs work in groups in order to provide a service to others; they essentially create a better world. There are also lots of charity groups and philanthropists who work together in order to create a better world.

Technology has changed the way virtually every human lives their life.
Quote:
monkiman said: i dont really marvel at city's with skyscrapers, they seem to me more like a dirty cancerous growth.
*cities
Whether or not you marvel at them is irrelevant, the point is that they couldn't exist if knowing certain things didn't make a difference; they are the product of knowledge, and they have made a huge difference in the way big cities look and operate.

Technology can potentially benefit us all--what's your point?

It's a matter of perspective. These days I prefer to see it as a work-in-progress, or as a necessary inflammatory reaction to a disturbance in the God-consciousness.

i am leaning towards it because it "feels" that way. everybody has a job because we live in a world that charges us a fee to be here, and it all boils down to profit. i suppose i dont really have much of a point with all this, im just really cynical about things right now.

IMO if it makes you happy then who am I to take that away from them.
I just sit back and let people believe what they want even though I can't grasp any of their logic <--
