I like how Saddam praised his troops on and on in his last statement read on iraqi tv. He even named individual divisions and commanders who he felt showed exceptional bravery. I think this will have a positive impact on the morale of the troop commanders and the men serving under them. President Bush just repeats his buzzwords when he speaks to the media, "uhh, free the iraqi people, find weapons of mass destruction, victory is certain" repeat this about 3 or 4 times and you have a Bush speech.

I used to watch a lot of TV, but I became fed up with constant product-whoring, Real World-esque shows, and corporate propaganda.
I've also found out that only six conglomerates own over 90% of contemporary media (http://www.corporations.org/media/). Bleh....I can't escape it.

this war has my adrenaline pumping, his republican guard units have around 10,000 troops each. if he deploys them in full strength to meet our ground troops... wow, what a battle.
if i was saddam, i would concentrate an attack on the middle of our curve that is advancing north. if he can make a break in the line advancing, which would call for reinforcements from the flank. he could then launch another large attack near the top of the advancing southern army. the divisions won't reach baghdad at the same time, and you can fight them off in smaller numbers. i think its dumb if he waits till we get to baghdad to unleash his republican guard, we can just surround the city and pick them off when they come out to fight.

I saw a tid bit about the marines going door to door in an Iraqi city on the news tonight. They're attacking like Vader's Emperial storm troopers, not selling meat like I do.

10,000 infantry men with small arms and light artillery against 10,000 men in tanks and aircraft with precision missles isn't going to be that fair of a fight.
