I'd suggest the cap on the Outside of the GB...check my sig...
You're not going to be able to spray Oust through those holes w/ the lid on thus not being able to ensure the entire SAB is sterile...

Very nice, looks much better than mine. Mine just has two holes
From what I understand, the main point of a glove box is to have a still air environment. I never spray disinfectant inside of my glove box, I just wipe it down with alcohol and spray the outside environment.

I wipe, close, spray down the arms w/ Oust. Open, wipe everything going in while soaking the bottom towels w/ bleach+water mix @ 1:10, wipe everything down as I'm loading the GB, wipe the connection points down again w/ iso then srpay Oust in...Takes about 10 minutes, I know it sounds like a lot but it's really not.

I didnt think still-air boxes were sterile. They just provide a safe area to inoculate in because of the air is 'still' and contams wont float into your g2g xfers and such.
I always just take the lid off, spray real quick, replace lid, wait 5 minutes and clean/load jars.

you're absolutely correct. SAB's are NOT sterile. They're used to keep out flowing air; thus, we reduce contamination. However, I've done all my sterile procedures thus far in my SAB, including making a syringe, letting the print dry, then re-sealing the print 3 hours later & had no contams.
We're trying to stop air-flow, but you need to be as sterile as possible. I strongly recommend a semi-wet/damp bottom of a SAB when doing work inside it.
I go through extreme sterile procedure prior to using my SAB. I turn off the heater/AC, Oust the entire room, shower, freshly laundered clothing, wash hands, wash gloves w/ iso, re-spray room w/ Oust, then start my SAB sterile procedure, being extremely aware of the air disruption I'm causing myself.

1. Yes & no...I was trying to keep the different, but for intensive purposes: yes, we're using them interchangeably . A true GB would be 100% sterile, but is normally pressurized as well, which we don't want. Therefore, for mycology purposes as a hobby, yes they're interchangeable.
2. I do all my inoculations in open air. I don't do the PF tek, I use grain lids w/ RTV + SFD (Synthetic Filter Disks) cut to the GE Hole.
However, I've always had a print. I started w/ 1 syringe & 1 print. Thus, I was forced to make my SAB sooner than most. They're great for everything. I've yet to get a contam *knocks on wood* by using my SAB/GB for prints to syringes, G2G, & anything I need to open a sterile jar for...

Use a glovebox whenever you want, its just an aid to cut down on contaminations, I do all my inoculations in a glove box.

Yes. Unless you're inoculating PF tek jars. That needs to be done in a SAB.
Grain inoc procedure =
1. Grain prep 2. Sterile tek as far as the room, my body & AC/heat goes. 3. Soak some towels in iso 70% 4. take out syringe & flame till red hot 5. wipe down lids while flaming 6. Hit red hot syringe w/ alcohol towel, while wiping lid/RTV injection port 7. In one motion, Pierce injection port w/ needle 8. inoculate Repeat 4th step & down for each jar.
G2G should be done in a SAB/GB or in front of a flowhood.
