Wondering if...

...it would be a good idea if I put my terrarium outside during daylight hours, because I don't have a good lighting situation for my cakes. My pinset is just imbalanced, I've got one big giant mushroom with like 3 other little pins, but I've seen pictures, and pins are supposed to pop out all over the cake, and there just not. and I mist the FC enough to have right humidity(at least I think) so I could only come up with the lighting is the problem. And I read that sunlight was the best light for mushrooms.
I would bring tub back in during night cause temps would drop too low probably. Also its windy here practically everyday so would that be an issue with keeping humidity up if it was outside.

I can't imagine how moving your fc twice a day is going to have any sort of ending other than tragic.

Seems like a bad idea. =(
You might want to head out to the store and buy a light. You wouldn't spend more than $20 I don't think. A florescent tube and holder only cost me $23, and two desk-lamp CFL's were even less.

Alright, I'll need to just get a cfl. Say for some reason I just can't find one, will regular bathroom bulbs be fine? I mean I guess it'll do alright cause I have a giant ass mushroom.

Get a bulb that emits light around 6500K.
Or just put the tub near a window?

You need to get a hygrometer so that you can properly gauge the humidity of the FC.
I know it might look humid inside because of condensation and whatnot but in reality you don't really know until you have a means to measure it.
Also, pin set don't have to be evenly distributed, nor is there necessarily flushes per se. You could have small amounts of mushies growing constantly, or you could have a big one-time flush.
You can get a couple of huge mushrooms in one flush, or a bunch of tiny ones in another, at least as far as multispore inoculation goes.

Just to be on the opposite side of this, When the weather allows, I always put my monos outside on the deck, they love it out there, I have gotten the most impressive flushes ever out there and have gone as high as 7 flushes.
when it rains I open the lid and let nature do the dunking
Go for it Bro!

I believe it- but a monotub isn't cakes in a terrarium.
And do you move them back in? Or just leave them out?

I assume a terrarium is just a container, be it a mono, sgfc, or something else. I didn't check to see if the specific type was mentioned in the op, but I have done monos as well as sgfc's with cakes and they both benefited from it.
as far as bringing them in or leaving them out, it depended on if it got to cold out. Decent weather, I just leave them out.

It sounds good.I'll do it after a couple grows so I can have some spore prints under my belt. Then experimenting should be no problem. 7 flushes, damn, ive only read people having about 4 or 5.

by the 7 flush you only get a mushroom or two, so it's not really worth it, but 7 flushes is 7 flushes and a testement to fruitiing outdoors as opposed to indoors.
