Faking your death

this thread was inspired by this image i found on post secret
Also by this sitcom i saw the other day. This homeless guy was telling this story about how some maniac flew a plane into his office building and it burned so badly that nothing was recovered, so he used it as an opportunity to leave his wife and kids and life in general behind.
it's an interesting concept. Of all the people who "died" in 9/11 how many werent ever recovered? Do you think someone or multiple people used it as an opportunity to disappear?

If you want to fake your own death the best way is probably to 'disappear' in a storm at sea.

Yeah I saw that it was on Shameless, great show interesting idea too. I think it'd be pretty difficult though to trick people into thinking your dead because you could never retrieve any of your things or money. You would literally have to run away and start over with nothing and no ID's or SS #.
By the way Kamek who is that girl with the blue hair? She looks sorta kind familiar but not.

Faking my own death.
Now that would solve a shit ton of problems.
How to actually do it is hard. You need a dead body your exact size with the same tox screen than me. A good dentist for dental records
Torch the shit out of the body so that no DNA exists, only dental records.
Create a fake motive for your murder.
Never let anyone who knows you see you ever again...
Disappear with the cash....
oh wait...I forgot the part where I stole 20 million dollars

It doesnt have to be that difficult, just write a suicide note and leave town.

Wow that really would be that simple. I always imagined slowly withdrawing your own blood until over time you had enough of it to make a brutal looking scene in your house, stage it to look like someone dragged your body off and such. That would be much more traumatic on everyone involved.
It can't be too hard to create a new identity for yourself, it happens all the time. I'd bail to Sweden, shave my head and grow a Bronson mustache.

I don't know about you guys, but my conscience would weigh on my mind heavily about leaving everyone and everything behind, knowing all of the grief I've caused them and the fact that I'll never be able to see friends or family again. I guess it would depend on my situation though..but still, there'd always be those thoughts in the back of my mind wondering what they're doing, how well they're coping, and the effects of my "death"/disappearance on their lives.

I imagine I'd show back up and see my family again after a few years, b/c I think I'd only fake my death if I say, got sued into oblivion by the anti-piracy people or something like that.
