Tripping tonight - solo; *SUCCESS*

Hey hey!
It has been quite sometime since I've tripped.. and even longer since I've tripped alone.
I plan on ingesting a cold water extraction of 600 heavenly blue seeds in about 13 hours. My last experience was with ~400-500 (1500 split as evenly as we could between three people). I had a really good time-my trip report can be found here. This experience will be had in my own room and I will be alone.
The girlie and I are having some relationship trouble. A big cause of the trouble is her trying to control my actions and not respecting me or my wishes (not just substance related). This is part of the reason I decided not to dose using these seeds last month. However, I received some inspiring words from a fellow Shroomerite and have since decided to not fear a possible bad outcome of this trip. I do feel bad for not respecting my girl's wishes, but I feel that it is appropriate that I do what I want and stop letting her control what I put in my body and experience.
On that note, I am almost expecting this trip to be a difficult one. I would appreciate it if you guys could throw some music/videos that have helped you through hard times (in case the trip takes a turn for the worse and I can't let go).
I have a nice sativa-dominant bomber rolled up to smoke if it ends up being a positive experience. I probably won't smoke it if the trip becomes difficult at any point.
The plan for the day is to finish all of my work, clean my tripping space up nicely, prepare music, and set up Planet Earth on mute (in case I do need a distraction). However, I hope to spend the majority of this trip in silent darkness and during the come-down I will be drawing.
Anyways, I'll update this thread when I dose and after the experience is over.
Wish me luck!
Many good vibes to everyone else out there who is dosing tonight!

Good luck man! Honestly, I don't recall ever having listened to music during any difficult experiences. But here are a few songs that have definitely contributed good vibes to my trips in the past:

Good luck and vibes brotha! I think you'll have a great time. Do like Terence says, and spend the come up churning through all the bad stuff you are afraid will jump out at you during your trip. Keep thinking about that stuff until you are sick of it and by the time you are tripping you won't even want to think about it anymore, it will bore you! Or so he suggests, I don't know how well that works

@Cups - Thanks for your contribution! I had a little sneak listen. I very much enjoyed this song.
@Force Ten - Thanks, as well, for your contributions! I will definitely return to this thread as soon as I start to feel any bad vibes.

Thank you, sir! I sure hope so.
I usually use this method. =) It's not so much to bore myself, but to acknowledge that I already know these faults and can already make a conscious reminder to fix these problems in my daily life. I do this so I don't face redundancy in my trips or dwell over something I already think I know the answer to.
However, I don't know the faults/sides to my relationship dilemma and am sure that I will not be able to bore myself with it! haha. Either way, I'm looking forward to some new insight.
+5 for all of you! (some of you already had +5's for me, so I edited in an additional comment)
I'm just about finished with my work. I have a couple of hours left, then I will try to catch a quick nap and start my extraction.
w00t w00t!

Thanks for the shroomies.
Yeah what I posted isn't really a song...it's tones at a frequency that is supposed to calm you. It really works if you can slow your brain down enough and let it take over.
Best of luck tonight.

Hours:minutes. =)
Gotta let it do its thang. I will shake it every 15 minutes until it's time to consume.
I haven't yet tried HBWR. I've heard good things about it, however. There are a few people across these forums who have done both and compared. I won't be able to compare them for you until next year when I've tried HBWR a couple of times.

There's chemicals in it that control your heart functions. This can be quiet a scare for some people, and possibly a danger. Morning glory seeds only have 2 things. A chemical that causes nausea, and a chemical that causes head ache. Both can be removed if you prepare it properly. I don't have experience taking hbwr or mg seeds.
Good luck with your trip man. I really can't recommend you or anyone else do this, but my most meaningful trip happened because I knew it was going South anyways, so I dared it to go as far South as possible. It took 2 years to get over it, but it was 100% worth it. Imo, it's also good to have a safety song or safety smell ready to go if you need to calm down. Mine are burning sage, and "halcyon on and on" by Orbital.

Naw, LSA isn't too risky. I heard somewhere that it's impossible to have a 'bad trip' on LSA and years of use with it confirmed that for me. It's mellow and chill as all fuck.

Thanks for all of the good vibes, Shroomerites!

I definitely felt them racing at and merging with me last night.

Good to hear, drr! Was it a relaxed evening in or did you go out?
Quote:
drr said:if you had any vasoconstriction issues, I'm always worried about that.
Vasoconstriction definitely happens, but it isn't something that should shed you away from the seed unless you have underlying health problems. It's a very weird feeling to explain, but I'll try my best. At first, you can feel all of the veins in your body shrink; it seems like the biggest arteries constrict first (you can feel it in your chest), then your smaller veins as time progresses (eventually feeling it in your hands). You can feel them trickle down like a rain drop. As your veins are shrinking the world appears to grow colder. At this point, I put on a nice pair of comfy socks, some warm clothes, and stick my hands in my pockets and have myself a wiggle fest to keep everything warm. Think of standing at a bus stop in 40*F weather, the feeling of cold is very similar. Past that, which I didn't seem to reach last night, the coldness becomes a numbness and your far extremities (my hands, mostly) become very tingly. It's similar to the feeling you get when someone sits on your arm and it fall asleep, but it happens in very unexpected places of your body. The tingling sensation pulses and grows more intense (feels really good paired with the euphoria and relaxed mind-state of the seed) until you puke (or digest fully).
Quote:
drr said:Hope you enjoyed your HBWR, tell us how you liked those and
I used heavenly blue morning glory seeds; the trip was fantastic! I had a little anxiety when I was digesting the extraction.. but from then on it was smooth sailing. I puked once at about an hour and twenty minutes in. I only puked once and it there was a lot less puke than with my last attempt with morning glory. I honestly wish that I had tried to hold onto the contents of my stomach for a bit longer, as the trip was a bit underwhelming, but nonetheless rewarding.
The experience was very fun and seemed to skip all of the "mumbo jumbo" and pick up where my last trip left off. My last trip of morning glory consisted of me shedding all of my concepts, until there was just 'this'. However, this time 'this' just hit me and I stayed there for quite some time. Occasionally my mind would bring up something and, of course, I'd get shot down. Most of this trip consisted of me living in absolute harmony.
Just before the peak I decided to engage myself on the relationship problems I'm up against. I'm sure I haven't yet deciphered much that the seed had taught me about it, but the main point seemed to be that there needs to be balance and equality in our relationship for the symbiotic relationship to hold strong enough that we both benefit. I could definitely see the hardships coming from this fight for more once the ego gets comfortable with the equality and starts to demand more. From here, it gets a bit hazy as our views of equality are differ from one another. My only workaround at this point is to do what I feel is fair and sometimes compromise further than I'm comfortable with, to display my respect towards her, while not letting this turning into a total parasitic relationship from my view. I feel that this is a place where I will be happy..
Aside from that, the most intense part of this experience was when I got up during the peak to take a look outside. Normally I just feel the merging of myself and the world into one entity.. but this time I got to see it merge. I won't explain the feelings of bliss, excitement, and amazement here.
Normally after taking a psychedelic I can't get myself to sleep- I tend to sift through all of the information to see if there isn't something that I can bring back. This experience was so calming and blissful that when 5:30-6:00 rolled around and the effects were diminishing I fell asleep. I took this as a sign that "everything's as it should be".

Your report brings me to re-evaluate the similarities and differences between Morning Glory and HBWR.
I believe that Morning Glories are in fact the more visual of the two. Whereas HBWR is leans way more towards mental. I would probably classify HBWR as a "thinking man's drug" as one can think very clearly and fluidly with the 'mindfuck' being too many revelations and insight to keep up with. I, however, have had VERY little visuals with HBWR with the exception of the world looking 10x brighter and clearer.
Morning Glories on the other hand become extremely visual the instant one exhales weed smoke. This could further be seen in the fact that HBWR's are considered intelligence increasing medicine in Ayurvedic medicine while Morning Glories were considered an entheogen by the Aztecs (and I have seen Aztec imagery on MG's so I can only assume this is where they got their inspiration for architecture from).

Oh yeah, morning glories my bad! Must have gotten the posts confused
I worry about vasoconstriction because I've had a couple of trips on LSD or mushrooms where my heart rate got really fast and I had more or less of a panic attack, I think the increase in blood pressure and heart rate might be dangerous for me but I don't have any reason really to think that other than that I am paranoid.
Glad you had a good time!
I ate some mushrooms with my friend and we spent a lot of time walking around outside and playing music. Nothing extreme

I would highly suggest it.
The most notable mental log was definitely when I was just finished working through my relationship problem and realized that everything's happening as it should and I'm holding the reigns. The most notable visual log was when I had my eyes open and the world and myself melted together into one unity. The whole trip I "knew", in a mental sense, that I was connected.. but seeing it with my eyes open was a very intense and rewarding experience. It felt, and looked, like a grander mimicked version of this: .
The thing I've realized with LSA is that the insight doesn't throw itself at you.
I hope that, if you do decide to ingest the seed, you have an amazing time!

Yeah me too. It was before I even knew they had been used by the Aztecs as well. The fact that this seems to be a common theme is really interesting, and if this was the basis for Aztec architecture it really supports some of McKenna's arguments.

I got this my first trip with 500 seeds and my eyes open and fixed upon a particular object. If I held my gaze at the object for long enough or focused on it, I would see the images appear (it wasn't like mescaline where the patterns were just on everything and some even in the 3-d space in my mind-crazy shit!).
This time, with 650 seeds (from the same batch), I didn't get that effect. I think it had something to do with puking sooner.
