if you glue the tyvek to the GE hole instead of screwing the cap over it, like a permanenty tyvek fixture... how many times can you use the tyvek to colonize jars before having to replace it?
how many times can it be PCed and used again?

I think it's good until the material starts to break down... Since tyvek is cheap, you might as well just screw it in with the lid.
PS, wait 24 hrs before bumping ur post, mods might say somethin

Depends on what kind of tyvek you'r using. Painter's cover-all tyvek'll need to be replaced every other time through the PC. That's why it's best to adhere painters tyvek to lids using micropore tape. For ease of replacement.
Medical grade tyvek can be pressure cooked repeatedly with no fear of the tyvek's pore size closing every other time through the PC due to the intense heat of the PC.

I've used the envelope material twice, once. The second time it came out a little warped, so I haven't done it again.
