Pre sterilized rye grain bag deteriorated

Curious what kind of contams (if it is contams) would cause this. It was a pre sterilized rye grain bag I knocked up with oyster culture. It looked good before knocked up but slowly got worse and worse as far as liquid forming at the bottom of the bag. The mycellium looks preetty decent but theres pools of liquid at the bottom and most of the grain is soggy and squishes easly when sqouze through the bag. It also had an unsual odor coming out of the filter patch I can't describe.
Does this sounds like a contam or did the just prepare the grain wrong? If it is contams, what kind? Some kind of wet rot or something?

Bacteria. Slimy and smelly pretty much nails it down. Bad LC is my guess.
OTOH, oysters smell weird.

The most common cause of bacteria infection in grains is the bad breath of the cultivator. If you failed to wear a surgical mask and work in front of a laminar flow hood, there's your answer. RR
