Side and bottom pinning going wild! Help please (pics included)

This is a picture of the BOTTOM and SIDES of my tray. I flipped it upside down to see what was going on down there. The top was only giving 1-2mm mushrooms. YES, 1 to 2 millimeters. However, the side and bottom have ones growing that are up to 1 inch. There's black bags on all 4 sides and bottom of the trays. How is this happening and what should I do?

This is a picture of the BOTTOM of the tray:

Your hand needs to lose weight. It's cool, mine did too. Now it's trim and lean

Just leave it upside down and let them grow. Then harvest it, dunk it, and drill moar holes for better FAE.

Do the pics show something that indicates that it need more FAE?

Considering what you've said in the posts, you might need more moisture on the top. The mushrooms are growing bigger on bottom because there is more moisture.
Do you have your tray in a fruiting chamber? Or do you have a Fruiting chamber at all?
I saw that beer glass in the back of the first picture, is it normally uncovered, and is your tub/tray uncovered as well? If so, they need to have an enclosed habitat with holes for fresh air. You know this, right?

The sub is in a container a little bigger than the size of the shoebox. And the container is in a greenhouse that has a coolmist running 15 minutes on, 15 off, 30 on, 15 off and that cycles goes all day.

No i've never heard that. I mean they're enclosed in the GH, but each individual tray isn't. Should they be?

no, in a greenhouse the trays should be uncovered, as long as the humidity is kept up...which is what a GH is ment to do so i would hope so lol
but from the side and bottom pinning, its caused because the tub is providing perfect conditions for the mushrooms..which is telling me your GH isn't holding proper humidity?

I second that... Shroomies like to grow towards the best conditions... If they are growing around the bottom and sides it's more than likely because the humidity is much higher in these places... Maybe manually mist the tray a few times a day with a spray bottle...

When I have 2 coolmists going, it's at about 90-95%. When I have just the 1 going (which is most the time), it's at about 80-80%.
The reason I leave only 1 going is for space, and also I don't want to saturate the suckers.

You should manually mist that way your actually putting moisture on the sub before you introduce air and it can actually evaporate from the sub... This is a major pinning trigger... With the cool mists your kinda actually hurting yourself in my opinion. Your not really getting evaporation from your sub your introducing already saturated air into the GH and minimal amounts of evaporation take place...
That's why people still mist cakes in a SGFC... They get humid air from the perlite but yet still get sprayed by hand in order to create the evaporation from the humid air moving past them...

Yup, a few people hit this right on the head....The top of the sub is too dry....The mushrooms are growing where the conditions are optimal. Need to mist more often to keep that top hydrated....
-------------------- The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.

You want lots of humidity, just don't get to the point of puddles forming.
Are you using a calibrated hygrometer to measure your RH?
