Ok, ok, I'm gonna try and remember what my friend did when he used the bottles. Remember that my mind is NonFunctional so there is a chance I could be remembering this wrong. My friend used the bottles. He also used a brown towel for it. He wetted first, droped er in, put the cake on it, and sealed er up. Aired it out one a day and misted it twice a day, yadda yadda yadda. Anyways, as long as his misted it twice a day it *appeared* that the towel stayed moist. Mycelium (spelling) did spread to the towel but it never caused any problems. The only problem I can see from it is if the towel has lotion, aloe, or something like that in it. Now that could cause a problem. Like I said before, i'm not sure if I remember correctly but thats how I think things went. Hope it helps ya some.
-------------------- The price they put upon the heads of folks with poignant views
Would be better spent on the children without shoes
And when the King condoned the actions of the liar
He forgot to weight the awesom power of the village crier
I've used soda bottles when I get contaminated cakes and operate on them. I just put damp perlite at the bottom and set the cake on a lid, haven't ever lost an entire cake.
ok.. sounds good. should i have put it on the jar lid then? I just put the cake right on the paper towel. Maybe that would have prevented the mycellenium from growing into the paper towel..... Thanks
