Did I f*&# up?

I made the substrate for PF cakes and I went to steralize the jars by putting them in a pot on top of a washcloth and heating them for an hour. I think the washcloth may have had soap on it because the water was making bubbles when i put the lid on. My jars are covered with tin foil and they have four wholes in the lid (under the tin foil). So my questions are: Did the bubbles or water get in the jars? and Did this totally fuck it up?

If the water level was at the middle of the jars, you shouldn't have any trouble with the soap issue.
Buy a Pressure cooker btw.

one time i used a pot i used to make popcorn the day before (haha, i had no clean bowls, and i had the munchies.. BAD).. i thought i cleaned it out good, but i guess i didnt. there was butter residue on the side of the pot after it boiled.. and even a little on the jars!!! i sorta wiped it off.. but it all turned out ok.. no problems at all

i'd imagine everything will be fine
