Shutting down production

Long story short, I am moving from my apartment to another city at the end of April.
I have my grow setup for shrooms in a closet. I only grow for myself and friends but I use them pretty much every weekend so I use a large amount. Today I came home from work early and 30 minutes after coming home my apartment manager knocked on the door to show my apartment. No notice or anything. Technically they are required to give 24 hour notice but in reality no one does, and if I was not home he would have come right in. Fortunately I was home early and was able to detach the extension cord running into the closet, locking the closet door (I said my girl friend had the key so I couldn't open it for them to see it).
I guess I am posting this because I wanted your advice on what I should do. I still have a few jars colonizing and 4 cakes fruiting. I don't want to just destroy them like that. But I cannot run the risk of getting caught. Technically if they came in when I was not at home all they would see was a extension cord running under the closet but that might make him suspicious etc. Do you think we would automatically think "Grow" if he saw an extension cord going under the closet door? What if he heard a fan in there lol. Am I being too paranoid? Or should I clean out my closet and throw everything away? Or just wait till everything is done fruiting.
Also I do not want to be without shrooms for months. I figure mid april I will start some more jars so they will be ready for fruiting in my new place. (Jars are easy to hide. UltraSonics and Shotgun Terriums are not lol).

I say get rid of that shit since you don't have control over your environment. Not worth the risk. If you want to keep growing while there, I say switch to sclerotia which is stupid easy to hide.

I had the same situation at the end of my PE grow that I ended up torching. The manager would never give warning of when he was going to show my apartment, and if maintenance needed to do yearly annual maintenance like changing filters, they would let themselves right in - I never once received a 24 hour notice. Fucking bastards.
At the end of my lease, he'd show my apartment at least twice a week, showing off closets and all. I would cover my monotubs up with blankets during the day, and every day I came home from work I'd completely scope out the parking lot for undercovers and be peaking around my hallways and shit expecting to see police carrying my tubs out.
Eventually just picked whatever was left to pick and ditched it, and let me tell you, the peace of mind that gave me was a better feeling than any of the trips those remaining fruits could have
Unfortunately the rest got torched, cause I dated a crazy bitch, god I really should have just lit her ass on fire instead
I also found a good deterrent for dis-encouraging a show of your closet is to get drunk as fuck, completely trash your room, and pass out in your boxers with the bedroom door cracked open and one of your nuts hanging out. The landlord would usually just open the door, make a quick joke about how I do not come standard in all floorplans, and brush them away as quickly as possible.

You're not being paranoid. Nothing NOTHING is worth your freedom. I don't care what it is. I wouldn't think twice on it. I had to ditch two 7 foot tall beautiful plants I had been doting on because my landlord decided to sell the house I was living in and people were coming to see it. This was 7 years ago and I don't regret losing the grow, the time invested, the money spent. It was the right choice.

I make a habit of leaving my place with sex items all over the floor.

Yeah that is what I figure. So I am just finishing fruiting up - when I am gone from my apartment I unplug everything, turn off the light and keep the closet locked (and take out the extension cord). So while my fruits won't be as nice this way nothing will happen, and when they are done fruiting I will pack up. I have around 2 ounces of dried - that should be enough for 2-3 months or so considering I don't trip much more than once every two weeks.
