Well that throws a wrench in the case, but I would say the conditioning of her holding that belief over time would make it hard for her to switch off at the sudden news of its untruth just like that, familiarity is a big trump card... but obviously people care for people that arent literally carrying their genes so its not necessary... I was more going after the unconditional aspect... and in some ways unconditional-love is hilarious because if the word love was to ever carry known substance i think it would have to be full of conditions, it just depends on how "gracious" the "lover" is or something
