Best method for understanding the world?

Seems we constantly have some uneducated, ignorant mystic-head disparaging the scientific method. When asked for something better or an alternate method, nothing substantive is offered. Let's take a poll and see.

So far 100% of those polled agree with me.
Edit: Damn that didn't last long.

There's nothing wrong with the scientific method. The problem is that people assume it does a lot more than it claims to do and then they think, based on that assumption, that scientific method is somehow failed. The same thing with language, people think that language can actually describe reality and it can't. But when that is recognized, there is no problem with language. So basically, yeah, people are just confused as to the purpose of things.

We have a graemlin for that, you know:
-------------------- Republican Values: 1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you. 2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child. 3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer. 4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

well, i am. The concept of "you" is made up, both in the sense that there is nothing totally independent called "you" and that you are only experiencing your interpretation of "me"

There's nothing to understand. So to have any method is pretty irrational. Once you find love, that's it, you no longer exist as an individual and all the problems disappear. You become love...
If you never find love, you'll keep at it with stupid questions and stupid answers until you die. Love is union, and the greatest love is the love of God, found within you, given unconditionally, because God is love and you are God.

And yet - here you are again, feebling trying to communicate your message on a medium that has taken a zillion man-years of inquiry and study to fabricate.
