And I needed only 0.14% to be ranked 1st in my department. To be honest I didn't even expect to be in the top10. But the thought that this one guy I cant stand beats me with a fraction of the percent is

School. Im doing a BSc in molecular biology and its fucking tough work. I got my results yesterday and was pretty amazed to see I'm second. But then I found out who was 1st in the department
I blame it on my inconsistent piracetam regime and the lack of weed sessions to chill when I was studying.

I take it for just a month before the exam to saturate ze brain with O2 Also to complement its effects I used to take about 500mg choline and inositol.

Hmm...doesn't it work by enhancing communication in the corpus callosum? Ginkgo Biloba is the one with the O2

From what I've read it seems to increase the bloodflow to yer brain thus leading to increase in oxygen concentration. And as you said it works on the corpus callosum as well as some others receptors/pathways I forgot about.
As for Ginkgo biloba I know it inhibits the action of some liver cytochromes that are needed for the processing of xenobiotics. To put it in context it affects the same enzymes that degrade THC and other drugs

I find piracetam quite useful for acid trips. Prior to my first acid trip I ate about 8g of piracetam and then ate a single hit. Later I found out that the hit was a bit too strong for the novice and the piracetam had made it even stronger Good times.
I definitely recommend this combo

I think we're looking at two sides of the same coin here...
What does Ginkgo do with the enzymes? Well to the drugs actually, make 'em stronger or weaker?

It inhibits some cytochrome isoforms in the liver that normally deal with the detoxification of foreign compounds. So in essence Ginkgo should increase the potency of a weed high. If you have any lying around conduct an assay and report back

...no I don't have either of those around sadly...but that is an interesting fact, I didn't know that. I think you'd need at least a week on Ginkgo before the enzyme is properly inhibited.

Quote:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoid Once in the body, most cannabinoids are metabolized in the liver, especially by cytochrome P450 mixed-function oxidases, mainly CYP 2C9. Thus supplementing with CYP 2C9 inhibitors leads to extended intoxication.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CYP2C9 CYP2C9 is an important cytochrome P450 enzyme with a major role in the oxidation of both xenobiotic and endogenous compounds.
In the CYP2C9 article under CYP2C9 Ligands there's a chart entitled Selected inducers, inhibitors and substrates of CYP2C9. Cannabinoids are listed as a minor substrate, amentoflavone (constituent of Ginkgo biloba and St. John’s Wort is listed as a strong inhibitor but hyperforin (constituent of St John's Wort) is listed as a weak inducer.
I'm no scientist so maybe I missed something and am way off with this. I happened to have some St. John's Wort kicking around and took 600mg about an hour ago but i'm on my third day of what was supposed to be a week long tolerance break, so i'm not going to be able to tell if its working but i'm gonna try it anyway. What do you guys think?
A week could be a bit too long to wait I guess 4-5 hours will do fine. Someone really should try it out.

I remember a thing about inhibition taking a bit longer to happen then induction. Probably depends on the substance and the enzyme...

What if you super dosed with Ginko Balboa daily to stop your body from ever breaking down THC? I wonder if you could you smoke and piss clean... Are there anything you need those enzymes that might kill you otherwise?

They deal with xenobiotics. That is exogenous compounds that might harm your body in one way or another. And no you cannot inhibit them for life. You'll have to shut down their genes but thats not likely to happen

Damn. It would be cool to fuck up a urine test molecularly. Maybe a pill you could take to bind to the metabolite in your urine, so it won't trigger the positive result in the screen? You might could possibly create a chemical you could add to your piss in the cup to render the metabolite untestable.

There should be some irreversible inhibitors that shut them down 'till the body grows more. Those would probably stretch out the high a bit more.
You wouldn't be able to smoke and piss clean, THC itself will probably get eliminated as is and tests might pick it up (have no idea for what they test) and there is a very high chance that some other enzymes pick up the metabolism of THC.
Hmmm...you might be on to something with the binding of the metabolites in urine...that would probably work until they get smart on it.

Some sort of high-affinity binding protein but I have absolutely no idea what that could be or where u can get it from.
The way I'd approach that would be oxidize the metabolites. Maybe adding bleach of peroxide could work. I dont know how the tests would react to it though...

Nah...it shouldn't be that complicated...chemically binding a metabolite to some big molecule should make it hard to detect. I assume most tests are some sort of chromatography, at lest the quick ones.

I think they test for 11-COOH-THC and 11-OH-THC. I'm not sure if THC would cause a false positive, but I don't know if your body could even break it down if you didn't use those enzymes.

I have no idea...the ones that I saw where chromatography-tests, they put a drop of biological fluid on a strip, wait a bit and it changes some colors, there is a color reaction involved, but the separation should be chromatographical...depends on the type of test though...

Yeah, they do that, and if it tests positive on the initial test they take it to a GC-MS lab.

You can use GC-MS or LC-MS to find metabolites of 018, but that's pretty impractical so I doubt they'd start testing for them at work, etc.

The most prevalent metabolite seems to be the hydroxylated aromatic sections, which 018 has two of, napthalene and indole. I am starting to wonder if the suggestions about these compounds producing some possibly cancerous metabolites has any validity to it. There's 3 benzene rings in 018 alone.
