Pasteurize poop in quart jars with big pot and water, ( no mess or smell involved in momma's pots. ) ( 2- mix poop and cut straw together before pasteurizing , do them together. )

make a casing.

or.. transfer 1 spoonfull to a new grain jar, and use the remaining grain to make a casing. by the time your casing fruits, you will have another jar to play with.

One work .. :: QUICKLY.

but having a flow hood, greatly increases your chance of success.

Do you have a hepa ???

A glovebox would work too.

Some have done it in open air.. can work, but not 100 %.

I have had good results working on the oven rack with the oven on warm. I have done this with birdseed and whole grain rice, with close to 100% contam free. I would take my innoculant jar and remove one piece at a time rinse with 1.5% H2O2 and then quickly place into jar of desired substrate.

I would suggest injecting 10cc's of h2o2 into the substrate before the g2g transfers, this should add some barrier of protection. It helps a lot.

shake it around to make sure it's even, prior to the transfer. though.

isn't 10cc a bit much ? remember he is working with pt. jars .
i use 5ml. h2o2 per qt. of grain .
here's a slick trick . loosen the lids on all the jars you're going to inoculate, when you open a jar, lift one side of the lid just enough to slide it open, just enough to dump the spawn in, then slide the lid back . makes less of a draft that way . :smirk:

I still don't understand why the oven tek even works. I know people who do what Moe does. The key things are to limit air movement. And when you start by saying "my friend" you should continue to say "my friend".

Get a filter bag or just an oven bag. MULTIPLY THAT SPAWN!!!!!!! Only use bulk sub's as your final substrate. Grain to grain ain't hard, just hold yer breath... And don't look over the jars, or touch the rims of the jars. It's the weird little things that get you contaminated. Remember, bacteria and spores typically fall down.

ps what's up with the terrarium automation system? I be in the market.......
