My pet bunny (pics) and how awesome they are

House bunnies are not rodents, but lagamorphs. Similar to possums. They are very trainable animals. My holland lop is about six months old. She responds to a specific clicking noise when she is called for food. She responds to her name and comes when you call her.
Training a house to be litter box trained is very easy. It takes 2-4 weeks to fully litterbox train them. They are not dogs, and you should expect some random poop because they kick it when they hop out of their litterboxes. Their poop is virtually sterile and you could eat it if you want. Their pee does not smell like anything other than NH4 and that's if you let it sit for more than 4-5 days.
Since most apartments don't allow dogs or cats, bunnies are allowed. Since they are similar to cats, if you keep them in your kitchen they are very easy to handle/deal with.
Most bunnies do not like to be picked up, but if you handle them at young age they do not mind most of the time. They learn who you are in a couple months by smell and will sit on your lap voluntarily.
Holland lops are the most simple and friendly as house pets. Dutch bunnies or other straight eared bunnies are MUCH more likely to allow you to handle them.
To train a bunny to understand "no" you cover their eyes with your hands and hiss at them. They do not move when you cover their eyes much like an alligator or croc except much more friendly. IF a bunny bites you it WILL hurt but very rarely do they draw blood. They don't bite unless you handle them OR if they are not fixed they can be a bit territorially of their toys or litter box. My bunny defends a shirt/scarf that I hang off her pen. She sits under her shirt when she wants to relax because you can't see her, or she will sit on her scarf with everything but her back legs and use it like a hammock to swing back and forth.
Fix your bunnies, they quickly loose their hormones and do not defend their poop box or toys and learn that they do not belong to them very quickly.
If you want a very easy to maintain animal that is very easily trainable look into bunnies. They are not 100% litterbox trained but they are so easy to clean up that it really doesn't matter that much.
BUNNIES AND DRUGS:
My bunny prefers trim over her regular food. Since bunnies can digest cellulose they seem to get very high from eating it. Not nearly as high as if you put a roach infront of them as they are eating and inhable the smoke.
My bunny also loves nitrous. She puts her face up the canister and holds her nose open and inhables, but if I don't pull the handle at a constant rate the pitch changing scares her enough to move.
Bunnies "binky" when they are happy. It's one of the cutest things you will see an animal do. It's a twisting, spasm-ing instantaneous hopping movement they do when they are feeling playful. My bunny binkies when she gets nitrous or if her I click my tounge and call her over for trim. She knows this pitch/sounds change over her normal call for food.
Here are some pictures of "Bun-eignet", pounced the same as Beignet the french dognut, except with a bun infront of it. We smoke blunts in her cage and call them "Bun-eignet blunts", she loves it when we smoke. In the picture of her chilling in her cage you can see the ash tray.

HERE IS PICTURE OF HER WHEN SHE IS ABOUT 45 DAYS OLD EATING TRIM OFF MY TOP BUDS.

She loves it. If I leave whippets in her box she throws it around like a puppy and gets mad if I go to pick it up. It is definitely "hers".

Theres rabbits everywhere in the woods behind my grannies house on the reserve, Theres a carpet of rabbit shit on the ground back there all you gotta do is climb a tree and wait a while till one comes hopping by which usually doesnt take too long, lot easier then waiting days for a deer to wonder by. greasy rabbit stew with fresh baked bannock

I am not big fan of way bunnies smell/taste. something about the smell makes me nauseous. My uncle is a chef so I am well aware than your ability to cook food can be subjectively gauged by how well you cook bunnies since they are so difficult to smoke.
Maybe it's because I am applying to medical/vetinary school, but I love bunnies and dead bunnies just put me off
Wild bunnies and pet bunnies lack chromosome match to breed so I can see how good wild bunnies

Anybody see the Hoarders episode where the couple had a bunch of rabbits in their house that had tunneled through all of the walls. Also every floor surface in the house was covered with a good inch of rabbit shit.
Put those things outside where they belong. Gross!

Go fuck yourself. She is an animal. I love animals. She has the capicity to come for food, call come by her own name, and sit. S he has the capacity to enjoy drugs voluntarily. She also goes crazy happy when she gets them and binks so clearly you get it.
Those are very cute pictures by the way.
READ:
Here is a picture of her when I put out a weed plant for her to eat. She ate it over three days, and I put her stuffed animal infront of the plant. She didn't touch it at all, because she thinks it's real . It is quite adorable and u can see how she ate the other plant but left the other one.
Holland lops are quite cute.

Go ahead and remember this pub thread where we are talking about bunnies. If i wanted to argue about animal rights I would but I really don't want to bother with cranky assholes.
ANYWAYS, here are so more pictures of MY OTHER TWO BUNNIES. The white holland Lop is WALLY and the Tiger Bunny is MS. Bunny.
They are bonded so seperating them would make them depressed/sad. Many bonded bunnies die within several months/weeks of each other. They are in love even though they are both fixed.

Whats wrong with offering your pet a bit of ganja, Forcing it on them is wrong but if they actively go after it I see nothing wrong with it. Is there something inherently evil about getting your pet baked once in a while?

it depends on the animal
my friend's dog LOVES weed, so we feed her stems and little nugs. we never tried to feed her weed, she just snatched a bud once.
she wont eat commercial grade stems; the dog's a weed snob
but i would never try to give a virgin animal any drugs, especially nitrous

I don't ever put smoke in her face. She clearly hates it. She also clearly chooses to consume drugs herself, and starts binking/inadverntly getting very excited.
If she doesn't like something I don't stick it in her face again. She has the capacity to enjoy it and consciously choose it then she gets it.
If you care otherwise because they don't know the "health" aspects you are forgetting it's a 3lb lagamorph with an IQ less than most retarded people. I don't care if it shaves months off her life. she is happy and enjoys it.
(keep in mind I want to be vet or doctor and agree with most new age animal rights)
Why would you give a shit if my bunny gets nitrous every couple of weeks 1-2 times? It's not heroin. It's not meth. It's maybe biweekly. It is clearly not giving her cancer.

Clearly you are missing something about nitrous. Just because you inhale it and make it sound like inhalents as in glue, acentone etc. means you know little about nitrous.
Why does my bunnies happyness and very questionable health effects of nitrous bother you so much? There are a lot more important things in life to really give a shit about especially with the furious passion you have for my bunny deciding to inhale nitrous.

Wild bunnies can be real pests, and erradicating them painlessly is a good thing. Wild bunnies can be so irratating. Especially on golf courses/surrounding areas.
Pet bunnies are wayyyyy cuter than wild bunnies. They can't even reproduce and really are not that similar.Quote:

Because I really need you to forgive me. LOL okay mom. I for put the canister there and she CHOOSES to inhale it if she WANTS to which she only does 75% of time.
Putting the canister for her to take what she wants when she wants is not forcing her anything. It is the farthest thing from it.

anything you care for and nurture should be done in the best way possible
and that means no mind altering drugs
you can claim that these drugs are very safe
but even weed causes some neurotoxicity

Rabbits have some extremely low LD.50's to certain drugs, especially psychedelics not to sure about ganja or nitrous.

yeah
i even feel bad feeding that dog nugs sometimes
one time it ate a gram (it stole it) and was pretty fine but you could tell it was woozy and high
then somehow it found chocolate in the trash and my friend had to take it to the vet.

You fail to see I care if her happiness is slightly effected by drugs. Especially when your argument is "even weed has neurotoxicity". Everyone dies. You can't prevent the natural process. This is one of the happiest bunnies I have ever been around (at least 100+) so I really, really don't care.
Bunnies LD50 runs about 50% of what humans are at. If you look at nitrous intake for humans requiring death, and then see she is getting 1/20-1/40 of a charger...I am not worried. At all.
I don't give my bunny nugs. I don't think she could handle it. If she inhales a little roach that is plenty for her. Giving her bottom/top trim in single leaves makes her happy. If I put out more than 2-3 leaves she stops eating them and then munches slowly 1.5-2 hours later.
She is well aware that leaf she eats is getting her high. You can see a big red ring form around her eyes.
More pictures of bunnies eating weed leaves. Not mine, but CLEARLY enjoying it.

you're missing the point
you shouldn't have introduced anything to them to begin with
would you feed your kids marijuana leaves and shots of nitrous?
and you want to be a vet?
i've shared my opinion, and that's all i've done, so let's just agree to disagree

If my kids were of age then why would I give a shit?
My children =/= my put bunny.
I love animals. I am not turning her into addict. I am not giving addicting drugs with high over dose potential. I am not giving her anything she couldn't grasp her mind around. I am giving her drugs she will enjoy or not like and not want to do again.
I can gladly agree to disagree, but insulting me for giving my bunny the OPTION to get a little bit of nitrous every once in a while.... lame shit

These arnt human kids these are animals
you dont even know at what age relative to a humans he introduced his rabbit to weed, What wrong with seeing if a pet likes to get blazed just as much as you do? It feels the same feelings you do shares 95%+ of the DNA you do and the same basic metabolic process's as you, Sure it may not be able to vocalize its opinion in words but it sure as fuck can express its want of something as clear as you or I can.

WOAH! Thread of the year award goes to the crazy bunny drug chick!!!
Paw, that animal was tortured from sitting in a cage, if it gets some sort of release from the torment of a life term of cage prison, good!
I'd shoot it though, its obviously the Charlie Sheen of rabbits, and it could go on a violent rampage if it doesn't get its next hoot of weed or hit of nitrous.

Rabbit Stew
Ingredients:
* 1 rabbit, about 3 pounds, cut up * 1/2 cup all-purpose flour * 3 tablespoons butter * 1 cup chopped celery * 2 medium onions, thinly sliced * 1 teaspoon seasoned salt * 1 teaspoon salt * dash pepper * 1 bay leaf * 4 cups water * 4 cups dry red wine * 2 cups diced carrots * 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced * 4 ounces sliced mushrooms, sauteed * 1/4 cup all-purpose flour * 1/3 cup water
Preparation: Directions for rabbit stew. Dredge rabbit pieces with 1/2 cup flour. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat; brown rabbit pieces on all sides. Add celery, onion, salt, pepper, bay leaf, 4 cups water, and wine; bring to the boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and simmer rabbit stew for 2 hours. Add carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms; cook for about 25 to 30 minutes longer, or until vegetables are tender. Combine 1/4 cup flour and 1/3 cup water; stir until well blended and smooth. Stir flour mixture into the broth; cook and stir until thickened. Rabbit stew recipe serves 4.

I have had a lot of pets in my life and bunnies are by far my favorite. Of the 8 posters I have in my room (yes I still have posters), three of them are of holland lops.
Lots of people I meet think I am a sketchy weirdo and then sees the bunny pictures and it all comes together. I don't open up very fast to people, but I love bunnies. My nickname is bunny, and my dad's nickname was bunny since he was four. My 28 year old cousins still call him uncle bunny and so does everyone expet brother, mom and uncle who live with him.

Bunnnay got a piece of a cocaine bag that was just residue that some fucking asshole dropped in her cage. I'd never give her anything where a little too much could be a real overdose danger. She got REALLY pissed off and cranky for hour and a half and drank almost 4oz of water.
If you have ever seen a bunny need SC injections its quite cute. They can take 2x more water than a cat SC which is most for almost any animal with their dimensions. They fill up like a big ballon and when you poke them you can see their skin run.
I have had to do it probably 100 times for school and every single time I spend a little time poking them and laughing to myself.

Not that im looking down at you for feeding your bunnies weed (in fact, I find it quite funny) BUT When I was 16, me and a few friends got my Rottweiler really stoned, thinking we were funny. Mind you, this was a well trained service dog, very low key dog...Fuck dude, 10 minutes later she just fucking snapped out and killed my other dog, a smaller Springer Spaniel...Man, worst day of my life. This went on for like 10 minutes before we could get her off
I wouldnt recommend getting a dog really baked (esp. a tough breed)...you have no idea what they're gonna experience and if they're gonna freak. Thats just my 2 cents
Cute pics though

I wouldn't blow smoke in any animals face. They usually don't like it, and dogs are big animals.
A bunny on the other hand loves to eat trim, but smoke clearly irritates her eyes so I don't want to make her uncomfortable.

One of my roomate had a bunny once, I used to put it on my stomach in the evening and pet him, he stretched till he was like a foot and half long, flipped his paws upside down and fell in some sort of trance everytime.
I love it. Also, I soaked my finger in whisky and he lick it off. After or 3 time it would fall asleep ans snore a little

She is litterbox trained 95%. What you are seeing on the ground is me kicking over her food bowl on accident. She is in a pen, and their poop is edible it is so sterile.

They sit, eat, poop, and clean themselves. Occasionally they explore/play.

Rottwielers are some of the most loyal loving breeds there are, sorry about that little dog but it probably pissed of your rotty a lot by barking all the time and being a generally retarded cocker spaniel and being stoned out of his mind the rotty realized he could just end it. I got all of my dogs that I ever had stoned once they were in there late teens, all of them loved it without any exceptions. Even if it goes crazy its a single dog not a pack Its not hard to choke one out.
EDIT: into submission, not kill

i had a chinchilla that used to steal weed out of my pipe when i put it down. he loved to get high. wish he was still around. i had him for almost 11 years.
idk though, i've gained a different attitude about drugs and pets. my chin only ever had pot and it was just a couple of times (that he didn't steal it from me). giving a rabbit nitrous and feeding them weed seems pretty risky to me. i would've never entertained either thought with the house rabbit i had.

You do realize how much trim she would have to eat to die?
I put out a 18 inch UK cheese plant that's roots ripped and she ate it over a three day period. She is fine and didn't move much for a couple days but kept eating it over her regular food.

most house rabbits are box trained. mine was fixed and box trained. she was very clean. great pet. wish my bitch ex wife didn't have her.

Yeah my bunny is potty trained and roams freely around the house. He's very clean.

it's the principle of it. i just wouldn't do it personally. i'm sure it's not terrible for her if at all harmful, but i wouldn't put my pet's health at risk like that now. my chinchilla was kinda ride or die like that, but this was in my 20's when i was partying a lot and he was part of the party. thankfully i didn't hurt him with my reckless behavior.
and nitrous? dude no offense but wtf.

Bunnay will be litterbox trained 100% as she gets older. Right now at around 95% is probably because she is still a baby.
I've never had her pee anywhere but her litterbox, and the random poop is probably from her kicking it because I have yet to see her poop 2 small balls on the ground randomly.
if you have bunnies you will see they kick their litterbox when they hop. It is inevitable and very easy to clean.
You can read my other posts about the nitrous. I am not going to go over this again.

Caracals produce the usual range of sounds for cats, including growling, hissing, purring, and calling. Unusually, they also make a barking sound, which is possibly used as a warning.

yeah, moved to northern crete for my wife's career with our bunny and our pair of 3 year old chinchillas we got as babies together. she left me in january last year, abruptly (still don't know why - doesn't matter now anyway), and kept all the pets and pretty much left me with a laptop and some clothes. she made it easy to get over our relationship but dealing with losing my animals still bums me out.

that cat is awesome as hell but i would much rather have it in 'house cat' size.
i couldnt play with that thing like i play with my cat. my cat already gives me scars on my hands that make it look like i used to cut myself when i got sad if i forget to trim his claws.

Caracals are a handful and a half to look after and care for, they will destroy any fragile item in your house and rape your furniture. They dont like to be held or handled that much and they dont scratch they cut.

nah he isnt being mean; and when it happens its my own fault.
i like to grab his stomach. and if youve ever had a cat you know what cats do when something touches their stomach and theyre playful.
they wrap around whatever is touching their stomach and kick/bite it.
99% of the time his claws are well trimmed, but if i get lazy or too busy to do it they get a little sharp and 15 lbs of cat can fuck you up. and im not cruel enough to get him de-clawed for my own convenience, since claws are their fingers.
i also kind of embellished the story a little. i only have one scar that you can see; and it just so happens to be on my wrist so thats how i described it. but if i have a cut on my hand that isnt healed its pretty noticeable. theyre actually nowhere near as deep as a razorblade cut, and rarely leave scars.

i might just get one of these, it's an african wild cat / domestic cat hybrid
an african wild cat just looks like a bigger version of the american shorthair imo. there are little differences but it's kind of like a rabbit vs a hare, kinda
it's worth 2-3K, I think.

HERE is a video of a bunny "binkying". This is what they do when they are feeling playful except they will hop really high and flip around.
This is what my bunny does after she voluntarily inhales 1/20-1/40 of a charger.

Rabbits are awesome. I have a mini lop, and she's just the dream pet. On the whole feeding drugs to your bunway issue, i don't see the big deal. I have given some MJ leafs to my rabbit, and she seemed to handle it pretty well. I gave her a little of the bud as well. She doesn't seem to enjoy it all the time though, as i have offered and she pretended to ignore me. All of this to say: feed em the herbal essences. I even heard it is a legit way of fighting arthritis pain in rabbits when they get older. I love her eye language while she's high, as she lays down all comfy and cozy in her pillow, and i can almost hear her say: pet me you useless prick. PET ME NAO
