Cant believe people are trying to smoke the harsh crap - Wild Dagga, when there is Heimia Scalifolia. Nice smoke, and after four tokes of a crude extract i was having slight visuals, strange though patterns and an inability to locate the source of sounds.
Its like weed with a psychedelic edge.
A must try!!!

Firstly - I dont see how the discussion of the bioassay of an ethnobotanical plant is off topic!
My experiences are in line with the description available on erowid in that the original process as described of picking fresh leaves and leaving these in water in the sun produced fairly poor results.
Dried leaves smoked through a pipe provided a definate but mild affect.
My extraction was very crude - the leaves and flowers were boiled down for about five hours into a greasy pulp. This was dried under a grill and produced a caky black substance which was smoked.
Seeds are difficult to germinate due to their size, so obtaining seedlings is probably better, and i cut these back when placing in the garden. Fairly hardy plants in general.

there is an experience report on erowid in which the author describes this process:
boiling 10 grams of dried leaves in a pot with water until all the water has evaporated. Then, he dumps the leaves, and he scrapes the remaining solid from the bottom of the pot. Then he comments that "1/16th" of this remaining gunk is a good dose.
In your experience, smoking this remaining gunk produces only a mild effect? What about just ingesting it orally.. please share

Yeap it's legal, get seeds from someone who has them or maybe a ethno supplier/ herb supplier or herb farm type deal.

This is a bit off topic but since a few people mentioned it...
I have Heimia salicifolia seeds I can trade so you can contatct me.
Now on topic - I've tried the traditional tea method and smoking dry leaves with no results, I'll try extracting when I get more leaves - 10g is a lot.
But how do you smoke the scrap? On tabacco or just like that on foil or something?
