Dunking monotub?

If my monotub is ready to start fruiting, should I first dunk it under the water for 12 hours before I introduce FAE and light?
someone suggested me to do it, but I'm wondering if it's really necessary, cos I would really like to skip it.
My monotub looks really humid inside - condensation everywhere.

your tub's should have plenty of moisture for a first flush..I myself still mist and fan my tubs...after the first flush you can dunk for few hours and return to fruiting.

Condensation is only a measure of temperature difference, not relative humidity.
Whatever you do do not dunk before first flush!!! IT will probably end up in your sub getting contammed from pooled water/ or something.
Now a dunk AFTER the first flush, that is VERy beneficial to replenishing moisture lost. Its a good rule to dunk after EVERY flush.

Or you get very fatty short mushrooms.

For me, misting after the first flush works for me. After I pick my bounty, the disturbed top mycelial layer makes water permeable to the substrate. I just mist regularly and keep FAE constant.

Good point.
But if I manage to finish first flush and I'm about to dunk it, I think I would just make a little hole in the bottom for the water to flow away. That would be reasonable enough.
I have 1 question though: I'm about to make FAE holes into the box and I have to choose between 6cm and 8cm (2.36" and 3.15"). Which one should I take and how many holes should I make?
I personally think I'm gonna make bigger holes (8cm) and one to the each side of the tub (4 holes - 2 upper and 2 bottom).
Can you approve this?

Never dunk prior to first flush. You can even get away with two flushes without dunking if you have the correct moisture content in your substrate. You'll know when you need to dunk because the substrate will shrink and pull away from the sides of the tub.
I believe 2.3 inch holes are too large. I'd recommend four 1.75 inch holes on top and four slightly smaller holes on bottom (1-1.25").
