im not a HUGE gamer though i do enjoy a session or two of COD black ops. i play every day for maybe an hour, but then i get distracted and turn the box off. only other game i own is left 4 dead 2 and i play that maybe once or twice a week for an hour, at most.
i guess my question is, are there other games out there for the box that are just as fun/ addicting? ever since i started playing shit online i completely lost interest in the actual game itself. i still havent played cod pr L4D 2 in single player mode offline.

nah, i tried halo and i really didnt get off to it. before the 360 i stayed up for a little over 24 hours straight non stop (wired) with a friend and beat it. it wasnt the game itself that was addicting, it was more along the lines of the drugs and the fun of staying up and zoning out with a friend.
the only time we put down the controller was to take a piss or partake in some drug taking rituals.

Get your hands on a copy of Little Big Planet 2.

it looked interesting, but for kids. it seems like it would be fun for a bit, but i would find myself distracted once more.
i am bringing up the subject only because i see myself getting tired of BO's here shortly and i want to find something to replace that once that time does come.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is pretty sick. Much bigger maps than COD, maybe twice as many players online too. Destructible environments as well. And vehicles.

There's also Gears of War.
And how can you not like Halo?? It's strict mindless run-and-gun shoot-em-up...

Yeah Halo has to be the most addicting game I've ever played. I find the COD line of games far too difficult. I'm all for a challenge but I tend to play games when I'm stoned and winning in COD seems impossible. The new Crysis game looks pretty sick though because its kind of half COD half Halo.

Well, that's what I like about it really. Get stoned, don't have to think too much, just run and kill shit.
The later ones are not as mindless too-- depending which one you played.

Cod is easy and mindless and requires no team effort or skill
Battlefeild bad company 2 is the greatest fps ever invented and actually takes skill/strategy to take the objectives. Huge maps, vehicles, destructable terrain, fucking amazing

I'll have to check out this new Battlefield that everybody's talking about. I LOVED Battlefield 1942, but it feels like the franchise has lost a TON of its character since then.
Red Dead Redemption was fucking AWESOME for the single player. Multiplayer is pretty meh, but decent.
Halo. If all you did was play through the campaign you haven't played Halo. Online is SO different.
Also, the single player on CoD:BO is actually pretty good. I'd recommend playing through it.

If you want to kick it old school you can try Far Cry. Possibly one of the 10 greatest games ever made. Completely open HUMONGOUS maps, multiple ways to meet objectives, sneaking around and freaking out the enemy when you are hiding in the bushes and just drop a guy with a supressed MP5 and watch his partner freak the fuck out.
God I love that game. Gotta reinstall it. It's so much fun. A few years old, but the graphics and terrain are still beautiful. It's a fun and challenging game and you can go about beating it like a million different ways.
Not like COD games where they basically corral you through a map and can only go certain places. With Far Cry you can go EVERYWHERE.

BF3 will be sickness. Jet aeroplanes, prone position, being able to move downed team mates to revive them... Fuckin love being a medic in BC2, so it should be even sicker in BF3
