1 qt WBS??

So I have 1 jar of fully colonized wbs and would like to know what to do with it. My intially idea was to make a monotub but the rest of wbs jars got contams. I was thinking about spawning it to coir and putting in a lasagna pan? Than just placing the lasagna pan in my sgfc after its fully colonized. What do you guys think?

That's not a hell of a lot of grain to do much. One jar is even enough to do a smaller mono tub, but seeing as your other jars were contaminated, I wouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket. ...Now I feel repetitive for saying this as I just used this answer in another post, but I would research GTG transfers, and try to get more jars out of the one you already have. You can multiply your spawn count by this technique.

I would but my pc can only do 2 jars at a time. so its a very slow process as I can only do 2 jars a night.

How? I have to soak for 24 hrs. Than pc 2 jars and then let cool in the pc. No way I can do more than 1 batch a day. Plus I can only soak 2 jars worth of wbs at a time because I cant let the wbs just sit there while I wait overnight for the jars to cool. So its a big pain in the ass

I would go with your plan then. If it were me, I wouldn't use shotgun because I don't have experience with that. I would just use a tub with perlite in it. And I'd use manure instead of coir.
Either case I'm just switching things around from what you're planning to do. Get a new PC too! I couldn't imagine cooking more than once. That is a pain.

I cant get field aged poo around here. and a sgfc is a tub with perlite in it.
Also I dont really wanna buy a new pc yet. I've invested 200 dollars into this hobby already and dont feel like investing more till I make some money first.

After you turn your pc off just wait an hour to let all the pressure out and then you can open it, take the jars out with a towel (cus it will still be hot) and let them cool some were else(like in your glove box etc..) whilst you get your next batch in the pc . I can only fit 4 jars in my pc but can easily sterilise 20 jars a day when i need too..

I was told if you take your jars out while they are still hot, they will crack.

Thats false information. Ive never had a jar crack. A jar will only crack under stress from being heated or cooled too quickly. Since your taking it out when its hot and allowing it to cool naturally over time it works fine.

No they won't, just give enought time for the PC to depressurize. Soak all the grain you will need the night before. Then strain it and set it out to dry. Preload all jars. Cook them two at a time! It will take all day but you could definetely get 10 done. Get up early.

okay you guys convinced me. I'll do some G2G's sometime this week. I have to work the next few days. Will any harm come from letting that jar sit fully colonized until I'm ready to do some g2g's?

Should be fine I have had jars sit for a month after full colonization with no issues.
