Is there a list of countries where spores are illegal?

I recently participated in the free sporeprint thread, and someone from an Eastern European country won my print. Is there a thread anywhere that lists countries where it is illegal to send prints? Would I get in trouble, or would he? Or both? Specifically, I'm talking about Croatia. I dont want to get in legal trouble, or get banned from the site, either... Thanks!

You could google croatia spore laws, but I wouldn't worry about it.
Even if they are illegal there they are not going to extradite you for mailing spores.

What about US customs? Do they check outgoing mail or just incoming?
I thought about google, just thought a "Banned States and Countries" thread would be a good idea. If I had the know-how and info I knew was correct, Id start one.
I would think it would be the "receiver", not the "sender" that would need to worry...

The problem with this is common to much of the misunderstandings we discuss on this forum: the laws pertaining to "drugs" are often vague and make categorical descriptions difficult. About the best way to approach something like this, in my opinion, is to forget denotations such as "legal" and "illegal" and instead use terms such as "not per se illegal" and "illegal per se". A third category denoting whether the item is specifically addressed in the criminal law could be helpful, as a measure of the legislative intent to prohibit the item, which might encourage prosecution. For example:
- USA
Not Illegal per se Not specifically mentioned in law
- State of California
Not Illegal per se Specifically mentioned in law.
- State of Idaho
Illegal per se Specifically mentioned in law.
The advantage to this classification scheme is that it would not contribute to misunderstandings of the legal status: i.e. while spores are not per se illegal in the US, that does not mean they are legal items in a given scenario, and an individual surely may be prosecuted for their possesion, even without the use of catch-all "attempt" and "conspiracy" laws.
As drug prohibition is a culturally-defined and motivated phenomena that targets people and items defined per social norms and xenophobic tendencies, rather than any objective, logical, criteria, the laws are, as expected, sort of a mess (I'm reminded of the patchwork of Jim Crow Laws in the US south: when trying to criminalize a culturally-defined area, it's difficult to use clear laws to condemn all those you want to target, hence the proliferation of vague and expansive legislation lacking objective criteria or logical coherency).

You don't need to make a customs declaration on a reasonably sized flat package that is not irregularly shaped and less than 3/4" thick.
Send in a regular envelope using the appropriate postage and it will more than likely arrive without hassle without a customs declaration.

Ive sent spores to croatia more then once. Theve been recieved without any problems whatsoever. Ive never seen croatia on a list of countries where they are illegal nor do I particularly worry about it.

Well, Thanks, guys. I truly appreciate the advice. I still think a banned locations thread or list would be helpful, albeit difficult to compile. Perhaps a "work in progress" list, starting w/ known illegal(per se((Nice write-up BTW. I agree w/ yer points)) )areas and adding more as they become known. I dont know. Just a thought. I cant afford to break the law- especially considering all the work Ive done to straighten out my life. And, I have BAD "legal luck". My luck is the type that would find me arrested for excessive noise for farting during the 4th of July fireworks!
But, really. Thanks for the input!
