I am taking a low dose of prozac and don't have any issues tripping. I did not realize that there was a conflict between the two. hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I'm also planning on trying LSD this spring. Do you think I'll encounter the same problem there? I've read that the two drugs are structurally similar.
I am telling you that IME you will notice if you only stop taking them for one day (you can resume the same day that you take the psychedelics).
I'm not going to name names, but advising anyone to stop SSRIs cold turkey is stupid, careless, DANGEROUS advice.
I was really hoping it was actually a subtle suggestion that she shouldnt be using psy's until she is at a period where she doesnt need the others.
Seeing as how you know nothing about this person other than his medication... I don't really think it's your call to make.
I mean, someone taking SSRIs is depressed. Not crazy. Not delusional. Not prone to schizophrenia. Just depressed.

And to that I say, 'How?'
Yes, how. What are the BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS that lead to this conclusion? Because depression isnt a state of being anymore than tieing your shoe is.
I'm not saying anything wrong about her, but I'm saying she is not fit for psychedelics. I think medication is necessary in a small few cases, but it should not last forever.
that would be like breaking your leg when you were 10, and still wearing the crutches and cast into your 30's.

Still not in your realm to ask those questions really (or provide a diagnosis no one asked for), but there are all kinds of behavioral patterns that indicate depression.
