im sure if they thought they could buy a 5 dollar plastic tub, and do 20 mins worth of work to it, tack on shipping, and sell it for 30-40 bucks...they'd do it! haha

Forstner Drill bits FTW...plus something behind the tub to support it, like a 2x4 or some plywood...drill from the inside out too...slowly, let the drill + bit do the work.
I cracked a few tubs by pushing too hard or the plastic being too cold.

Next time, use made in USA sterlite or rubbermaid tubs, not that inferior chinese shit they sell at walmart.
Another tip is to run hot water on the tub before drilling, or use a hair dryer. In addition, simply using a sharp bit and not pushing too hard will also get the job done, as shown in the DVD, where not a single crack was caused by drilling the holes. RR

I use a Fuller countersink bit (google it). It is basically a tapered spiral pilot bit with a four flute tapered countersink typically used for wood. They are a bit pricey (no pun) but worth every penny. You could also use a cheaper countersink as well but the Fuller is the ticket. You will find them at woodworking stores and good hardware establishments.
I forgot to mention that you don't have to back the bit up with anything. Perfect clean holes every time.

They are like $10 where I get them for the 1/4". If you are making more than one SGFC it's well worth it.
