The Relationship Between THC and CBD

first of all i believe weed was cultivated by ancient advanced civilizations 20,000 years ago
but anyway, its interesting to me how tetrahydrocannabinol THC and cannabidiol CBD interact in the body.
CBD keeps THC under control. with a whip.
its like a married couple. who own whips. and dig bondage.
what was i talking about?

I have found (and I think that I read it somewhere) that when weed has been stored for a while, there is a chemical reaction with air that converts some of the THC to CBD. In my experience, If I keep weed in a wooden box, then after a while, the stone is more mellow and sedative. Just my experience.

Hope not, synthetic thc is shit. I ate a handful of those orange thc pills and didn't get stoned at all.

when you cure your buds.. this happens.. if cured and dried properly it will gain potency over time before it loses it.. this is a pretty good explanation and includes some awesome pics of hash.. http://www.420magazine.com/forums/harvest-preparation-curing/72355-why-curing-increases-potency-tutorial.html

I like the effects of THC more than CBD, its more psychedelic. CBD just too narcotic.

if i smoke a pure sativa like blue dream it really depends how it was grown and cured.. some heavy sativas give me a sharp pain right in the center of my forehead and most people dont let it grow and mature enough before harvesting (turnover time constraints) resulting in a high thc content.. theres deffinately a difference in the two.. im a mmj patient and i sample all different kinds.. IMO i like things that are more sedative and body high (indica/good hybrid) sativas tend to give a lighter more heady high that just doesnt last as long for me.. however some sativa are really nice smelling and taste great.. my fav is blue dream (sweet/almost buttery) from my usual place.. indicas tend to smell "dank" and sativas are more "sweet".. its all personal preference but the best is when you roll up like 3 or more different types!

Aren't there hundreds of different CBD's? someone should try isolating them and studying their effects individually.
figure out which of the chemicals are the best for getting high or have various medicinal benefits
then you could breed weed for the certain CBD's you want engineer thousands of different kinds of high

There are tens of cannabinoids found in cannabis, CBD (cannabidiol) is just one of them.

thats already goin on mang!! i mean.. you can buy weeds of all different kinds and get all different kinds of highs (well within the spectrum of getting high at least).. also theres many ways to make hash and isomerize the cbd into thc.. ALSO different hash from different strains varies greatly in smell, look, consistency, color.. etc.. where im at you can buy hash thats mixed and looks cool like darker brown with golder swirls in it.. i mean really theres many ways to get different kinds of highs.. even highs that are situation appropriate like eating, studying, or whatever.. i guess we have no real way to isolate and test a certain version of the chemical THC at home but when it all comes down to it you decide what you like with your own lungs and head.. i dont care about numbers i just want "the good stuff" which i can tell just by look and smell alone usually.. but you might look at and smell and smoke a bud and think its awesome and it may not be awesome to somebody else..

Check this out... a BBC reporter gets injected with a mixture of THC and CBDs, in the same/similar ratio you would find in natural herb... and then the next day, injected with pure THC without any CBDs..

I know all about cannabinoids and cannabidiol I've just never heard of cannabanoid before and a google search didn't come up with anything. But I guess mistakes like that are to be expected in a research study that shoots people up with THC and CBD.

Yea exactly...
Cannabinoids are the active constitutes of cannabis (THC, THCV, CDN, CBD, etc...). There are also a few endogenous cannabinoids that our bodies produce such as anandamide.
I've always thought it was interesting the way the various cannabinoids work together and balance each other out to produce the effects we experience from cannabis. That's why there are so many various effects from cannabis, from soaring head highs to couch-locking stones. It solely depends upon the concentrations and ratios of these cannabinoids...
Another thing that has a major influence on the effects of cannabis is terpenes. Recently there has been research into what affects and influence these terpenes actually have...
I will elaborate more on the terpenes tomorrow sometime, to tired at the moment. But it's some truly interesting stuff

i was thinkin maybe the one containing "cannabinoid" was including those random analogues as well as CBD.. idk.. but i think that may be what they are implying.. i never got too into all the different thc groups other than the basics but i know the differences in the products and i know just how its gonna be on sight and smell alone.. i see you are in my zone eh? im in LA county..

I've been noticing the completeness that CBD adds now that I mainly smoke my spice blend (JWH-018 on tobacco).
Adding the smallest amount of weed to my spice joint will "complete" the high. I guess it just grounds it a little more- gives you a little more of the body stone.
