Does temperature of the dunk water affect fruiting?

With BRF, when you soak overnight, does the temperature of the water have any effect on the fruiting. I know with shiitake, you have to use cold water to induce fruiting, but does Psilocybe respond to water temperature in any way?
Has anyone conducted any experiments with this?
Is yield or fruiting time at all affected?

Room temp is great. Cold just slows things down.

The only reason, why you should use cold water, is to lower the chance of bacterial bloom. P.cub dont benefit from a cold shock like shiitake does.

I don't even dunk shiitake any more.
For cubes, use cold tap water. RR

Cold water, definitely. When I did cakes, I used to put a small portion of H202 in the dunk container as well, for cleanliness.

I tried both cold and room temp spring water and I only found that cold just delayed the cake's next pinset an extra day or two.
Cakes have their own defense against infection once fully colonized, unless your water or container are totally disgusting i can't imagine bacterial bloom being an issue during a 20-24 hr dunk.

WHAT do you have against giving your cakes a day off? Look at everything they do for you. They deserve a break.
