I have 2 fully colonized WBS quart jars of Reishi and I was just wondering what you guys think I should do to fruit them. I've never grown anything besides cubensis so I have no idea how to fruit these things. Anyone know what I should do with the jars? I've heard about sawdust, but what kind of sawdust are we talking about?

A range of hardwoods can be used; where I am, alder is prolific and desirable. The next substrate I test will be an alder chip, Douglas fir sawdust, and bran blend, sterilized in a bag and then inoculated according to the established tek (you'll find it easily by searching). Fruiting conditions for reishi are pretty close to what you'd want for cubes in terms of temperature and humidity (but fractionally lower humidity). Have a look at the Stamets book Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms for everything you need to know.

Well I have 2 bags going on 100% fir wood pellets.
My Recipe. 20 cup of pellets. 2 cups of bran, you pick. 1 cup of gypsum. 1 spoon of malt extract, the big spoon I use to stir. 22.5 cups of boiling water. I use a big plastic tote to mix it all up. Ops my bad... Than I fill 4 bags put tyvek sleeves into the bags and PC for 2 hours at 15 psi.

Pepper, do you sterilize that mixture afterward or just "pasteurize" it with boiling water?

Just pasteurizing paper/cardboard works fine too.
