Toss or keep waiting?

SO I nocced up some BRF Jars back on 1/6 and lost the majority of them to Bacteria. Out of them I have 6 jars that dont show any signs of contamination, but they stalled big time around 50% after about the first 9 days.
Since it has been so long should I continue to wait or scrap them and start over?
Going on two months..... They do not smell and there is no visual discoloration.
I would post pics but there really isnt anything to see other than half colonized jars...

Did you take the foil/tape off? If so, toss them and start over. Cakes should be fully colonized after 3 weeks, 4 weeks tops.

Yeah I kept the foil off since inoculation. Open holes and sitting on a shelf.
Crap... that will make 18 jars down the tubes

There must be something wrong with your sterile procedures. Or maybe a bad syringe.

Agreed... I was an impatient boob when I got everything and I didnt pay attention to ANY sterilization requirements as I nocced. I figured they were a loss, but was hlding out hope for thos last 6.
In the meantime I nocced new home-made jars with Pura Vida, in a sterile environment and they are looking gooood so far!
Lesson learned!

Is it not possible that his sterile procedure was fine and his water content was off? Also, I've learned pictures are MANDATORY around these parts, so even if you think it's unnecessary, post pics. They might end up being useful, and if not, they will at least get you more responses. People like pictures.

No. Besides he already said that he didn't pay much attention to sterile procedures.

Costa Rican? I had never heard of it before. I ordered sort of a grab bag of sellers choice and that was what came, along with Amazon, Lipa, and Ecuadors.

So your saying that a substrate that is too dry cannot cause stalling?

A slightly dry substrate is actually much better than a wet substrate. Colonization is faster. Anyway in this case he didn't follow correct sterile procedures.

I completely agree that slightly dry is better then too wet. But, overly dry can cause stalling, and I wanted that option to be out there, and for him to see that it's not ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FACT that it was his sterile procedure. He did say his procedure was bad, and I agree, that that is most likely the cause, BUT, since there was no smell and/or discoloration, like I said, he should be informed that the substrate being TOO dry is a POSSIBILITY.
