Fucking hair thinning

Don't know if it's stress or what, but my hair's thinning out. Both sides of my family have really thick hair, so its not genetic.
Either way, I better not go bald. I'm not usually vain but I love my hair.
Gonna start taking multivitamins 'cause malnourishment may be causing or at least exacerbating it. I'm not starving myself, just cut way back on food (1200ish calories a day when a guy my size needs 2400 just to maintain weight).
Still, it's fucking irritating.

Why did you cut back so much on calories? You know really don't want to cut more than about 300 calories a week below baseline. Otherwise your body may respond negatively. Not sure if you already did this, but it's best to slowly phase into a large calorie cut like what you're doing.
Did you start losing hair right after you started dieting?
How are you losing hair? Like, can you see particular spots thinning out? Is your hair thinning diffusely? Or can you not tell at all?

It was a slow cut back. Been eating about 1200 calories for months. I actually feel sick if I try to overeat now.
Mostly it's thinning out around my part. Everywhere else is thick as ever, it's just about a 2-3 inch strip. Makes me think the brush I use has been fucking with my scalp or something.

Do some work on google-- your hairbrush has nothing to do with it.
It could be nutrition, genes, or stress though. Iodine deficiency comes to mind as a potential cause, but again,it could be any number of things.

I hate to break it to you, but you're going through the normal process of coming to terms with hair loss.

Not one of my 4 grandparents has significant hair loss, so it's not a genetic thing. That leaves environmental factors and disease. I'm pretty healthy, so it must be something in my environment.
And, like I said, it's not all around my head or male pattern baldness, just around my part.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS ) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are common ingredients in most shampoos and body washes; can cause hair thinning and dry skin and hair loss if used over long periods of time
this product contains none of that
