I used the search engine, and this is the 3rd result.

I'm gonna keep looking, but is it ok to put that rubberized test tube rack in the sterilizer?
OK, got it: can be used in temperatures up to 250 degrees.

I melted my first test tube rack...it was an unholy mess.
Get an empty soup can, punch a few holes in the bottom. Fill with clean tubes you want to sterilize, cover with foil.
Throw a can of rubber stoppers in a can and add to the PC
PC for 15 at 15.
Take them out when the pressure drops and you can open the PC. Put the stoppers into the test tubes while wearing gloves.
Making slants is a little more complicated but not by much.
Done, now go have sex with your car...you've earned it.

Thanks! I noticed 250 was what I sterilized at, so I stopped just short. Gonna go with the Jeep; my V-dub's tailpipe rusted away.

The Aussie used a tube tek to do it. He even drew diagrams. Basically cut up a beer insulator. [for purposes otherwise unimaginable.] I'm done here. Don't exile me to OTD.

You could put the tubes in a jar and use a filter disk or polyfill lid. Then pc them. I would think that as long as you don't open it they will stay sterile.

That's how I like to do it. I use a large mouth pint jar and when the PC cools enough to open I prop up the jar on an angle.
