Just checked my site stats and I'm told that over the space of the 10 or so days since I first posted on this site, my website has had over 100 visitors and served 1.1GB of files. I think that's awesome, so my thanks goes out to anyone who's taken the time to listen!

Get the PINK FLOYD album called Pulse, its a live album, comes with 2 cds in a funny book case thingy. Play CD1 Track 1:
SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND.
The sound effects, music, crowd and atmosphere penetrate your soul like no music has ever done to me when tripping. its over 20 minutes long, and every note will send a shiver down your spine.
If you hava kazaa, download that track, its easily found if u search for music shine on you crazy diamond live, and make sure its from the pulse album, the others are good, but not as good!
ENJOY, its impossible not to!

I have been wanting to get into creating electronic music for a while now, but I have no idea where to start. Could somebody point me in the right direction; resources, software etc. Is there an equivalent to the shroomery for the electronic music community?

not that i've seen, but mess aroudn with fruity loops or Cubase (which i have yet to do)
fruity loops is easy to use, start with software before hardware, imo

Fruity loops is of poor quality. It's meant for all raver-wannabee's to make their own music, feel cool about it, and act big.

huh? i don't understand your generalization, but i agree it is of nowhere near studio quality.
Raver wannabee's? do ravers even exist anymore? heh
Listen, it's a great EASY program to fuck around with, without getting into the technical, confusing, yet high-quality studio worthy programs. You can do TONS with fruity loops, not just 'raver-wannabee's' music.

That's true, but the only people I've heard talk about it were infact raver-wannabee's at my highschool.
And yes, some ravers still do exist, it's all mostly underground shit. Theres few left, and people think they're all gone, but they're there...
