Anyone putting in a garden for the summer?
    #14034097 - 02/27/11 01:23 AM (13 years, 7 days ago)

I figured, as much as i like fresh veggies, and with the way prices are skyrocketing, I gotta get a garden started and maybe a henhouse.  tomatoes, hot peppers, cucumbers, cantaloupe, green beans, snow peas, squash, and spinach are the first things going in.

I'm planning on it...I was going to last year but procrastinated until it was too late into the season.

Not sure what I'm going to grow yet. Some sort of chili for sure, possibly habenero. A few herbs, strawberries, and maybe an ethnobotanical or two....

Really have no idea though...

chickens rock.

so far this year I only have some cherry tomatoes "dark chocolate".
Flowers include moonflower, iceplant, datura, and maybe some cacti.

Gonna have my usual :mushroom2: garden for the summer.
And I will most defiantly plant some turnip greens and cat nip.
Only because they are easy to care for and because I love some fucking turnip greens!!!
And the cat will be pissed if she doesn't have a QP of fresh cat nip to make it through the winter.

yup, built two raised beds. spinach, tomatoes, snap peas, carrots, garlic and some other sort of green leafey goodness.

"We are all intoxicated. We were born into an insane asylum, a world crazy-making. We believe what we see and hear. The real myth is the myth of sanity, of rationality: it's a disease that is eating away at the earth. All the poisons flow from our denial. We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell

oh hell yes, we moved into a housse this fall that has a 35x35 foot timber constructed greenhouse, so as soon as the weather warms up im doin a couple small repairs on it (windows dont latch and door is busted) the wife and I are planting tomatoes, lettuce, peppers of all varieties, cucumbers, peas, beans, carrotss and a few others. I got the tiller motor running a couple weeks ago so it's all ready.

1. get a pellet gun
2. Learn to tan their squirrely asses
3. Make a loin cloth to do your gardening in.

I'll most likely be living in an apartment this summer, so no garden for me. :crankynoweed:

I wanted to grow one last year, but like others I procrastinated till it was too late.

Maybe if I get an appt I'll get some window boxes and do a little personal grow of baby veggies.

our mother nature is 1 big garden we people can use.
just grow your veggies ''guerillia style''.
Or in a big city just use an garden from an abonded house.

I want to do a garden this year, but my mom gets all pissy about it and says that I'm taking over her yard :crankey:

Last year I had two kinds of tomatoes, all colors of bell peppers, serrano chilies, tomatillos, and cilantro. It got so hot though that most of them didn't do very well

Hopefully all of my special plants will come back this year too.
