I'm still waiting for my oyster and shiitake spores...and still waiting for a tracking number on them...and a reply from my email... (sponsor vendor)
I see the majority of stuff on this sight is based around cubensis. How much of the info here can I use for my hopefully soon to be edibles?
Also, the lets grow mushroom videos... do those guys frequent this forum?

Roger Rabbit, author of the videos, is the head honcho around here.
Oysters will work directly off pf cakes. Shiitake can, but it prefers a wood base. Both will enjoy grain spawn, as shown in those videos.
Also, there's a whole separate forum for edibles and medicinals: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/13 They'll have much more info.

Also, don't fret over the tracking and such. Sponsors will get your stuff to you.

I'm not worried about receiving what I ordered. It's more so the lack of response from the company. To me it's unprofessional. Well, we'll see. If I don't hear back by monday I'll be canceling my order.

I can't imagine a vendor selling spores to these species. We all trade in isolated, proved fruiting cultures. RR

Yea I meant culture syringes. Lil' mix up of words :P Your videos have been very helpful so far. When I have money I'll probably purchase your dvd's. I would like to produce in bulk for farmers markets in my area. I haven't seen anyone else selling mushrooms so that's good for me.
