I bought these jars for BRF cakes. This will be my first attempt at growing. Will these jars work? They are wide, but have a shoulder? Will it be hard to get the cake out in one piece? I know for casing these jars would work, but for my first time I want to do cakes. What da ya think?

They are tapered at the top and will not work. Jars with smaller diameter openings make impossable for the cake to slide out when birthed. Exchange them for wide mouthed half pint jars.

It looks like you will have to break your cake in order to get it out of that..

You probably could find a use for them in the future, but if you ever get into bulk, your best off using quart jars for casings and spawn.

Nope, they won't work....but yes hold on to them, they can make liquid culturs, LC's, in the future
