Damn... I've spent (and still do) a lot of time in Watauga county. Boone in general, and also on the ASU campus from time to time.
It's a very liberal place to be (at least near campus, anyway.) This hits a bit close to home. Not that I'm worried about getting into trouble or anything, I mean shit, I haven't bought anything from dealers in months and months, but it still shows how there is tons of acid all over the place. I would imagine the guy who got arrested was a student. I feel so fucking bad for him.

Also, the thing about cops reporting the street value of drugs....... psshhhhhhhhhh..... what they do is take pretty much the highest price a SINGLE dose/gram/hit of a drug would cost from most dealers, and then simply multiply it by the amount of hits they seize. For example in this case, a $48,000 on 4,800 hits obviously means that they just set the price of acid at $10/hit and multiplied it by 4,800. They pretend that price breaks don't even fucking exist. I mean seriously, do you really think somebody was going to hand over, in a single deal, what would have been $50,000 for 5,000 doses of acid? $50,000 fucking dollars?? I'm sure the deal was NOT set up like that, and on the rare chance it was, the dealer should have *immediately* known it was too good to be true, and some sort of setup.
$119,000 for 13 lbs of mushrooms!? 13 pounds x 16 ounces per pound = 208 ounces. $119,000 divided by 208 ounces, that comes to $572 per ounce, or $20/g. So once again they made up some $20/g bullshit for shrooms and multiplied $20 by 5,907g.
Same thing with the weed. 12.5 pounds, that's 200 ounces. Comes out to $400/ounce or about $15/g ($14, actually.) You'd think that if you were buying $5,680 grams of weed that you normally pay $14/g for, that you'd get some sort of discount, no?? 
But congratu-fucking-lations, cops, for taking these hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of heavy, dangerous, crime-promotimg drugs. Hope you have fun with the photo-shoot.

Shit man, I'd say even that conservative estimate is probably off a bit. That would still come out to $200/sheet of acid, and with 4,800 doses I can't imagine it being that much.
You've got it spot on with the shrooms.
With the cannabis, I have no idea. It would have to depend on the quality more than anything else. With Cali weed though, 12.5lbs = 200 ounces.
I dunno if I've expressed this well enough, but this shit really pisses me off. Guy's probably going to end up in jail for a good while at least, due to distributing drugs that can better one's self and provide for a better understanding and a greater sense of peace with the world. How truly, truly sad and unjust. Again, he will be in my thoughts.

I have seen the print many times, but NEVER laid. Never even heard anyone talk about that print being laid...

Wow that picture really sums up what I imagine is a pretty common thing- cops enjoy busting dealers because they're jealous, plain and simple.
Look at the satisfaction on their faces! They are experiencing their fantasy of being those they claim to fight.

A book is a 10 pack of sheets
A page is 100 hits
as least to my understanding...
Many of the blotter artists make their designs (or art before perforated) square - and there is no way to make a square yield 1000 hits. So most of time the blotter art is sold in sheets containing 900 hits. That always annoyed me. I like 1000 hit books - makes more sense to me...

Thanks to the kind people who posted support for the ASU student, it was a real comfort. He was not charged and he did not roll. Lucky for the student he was on tape calling it off, the "friend" aka undercover talked him back in, telling him it would save the undercover's life. Nice police work there. After six months of holding 14 years over his head they decided not to charge. Tell your children if you haven't already. PS, I had heard the LSD was fake, tho this was never reported.

IMO Dealers who sell fake drugs = thiefs = belong in prison.

the article said he arranged the delivery from his supplier, so it's a good possibility he didn't know.

of course drugs are no where near as priceless but then again if they are proven valuable then why are we destroying them?
why not just fine the kid 50 percent of the street value then give it back to him so he can sell the product to the willing customers and everyone is happy. the kid gets pinched sure but its not life in jail, the state gets half the money for the drug arrest without the lengthy court costs, and the hefty fine keeps the whole thing under the table.
