Nope, I wouldn't change my vote. Why? Because no matter who you "vote in" the government is just going to do whatever they want anyways. The president is just a face in a suit, the real decision making is behind the scenes.
So you voted for what reason?
I favored obama over mccain. I also bought into the whole "change" thing at the time and thought that if we had somebody different in office that it might help. Now I know that there is a lot more to it than that.
Plus I got extra credit in a class I was failing for voting

I'm not saying Obama's the best, but I'd rather have him and his administration up in the oval office than some imperialist ass. Look at Wisconsin. That guy was sworn in on Jan. 3 and he opens his mouth and shit pours out. Same goes for Florida and New Mexico and a dozen other states. Ah, were all fucked in the end.

except the president can veto any bill, so that makes passing legislature WAY easier...especially when you have control of the house and senate.
I voted for McCain and I knew he wasn't going to win, but like I said back in 2008 "maybe we need another Jimmy Carter to get a Ronald Reagan". People are realizing that Barack Obama is just a hollow man. He just TALKS. He does NOTHING.
Hopefully more people will get their head on straight in 2012...or the world will end when Obama gets re-elected

I voted for Obama, and based on the alternatives, I definitely would not change my vote.
I've been frustrated with a lot of things Obama has done, mainly the way he tends to compromise with himself before going into negotiations with Republicans, who then demand further compromises which he gives them, and then they vote against the legislation anyway. At the same time, I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for the progress he has made. Health care reform was definitely watered down too much, but it's still a huge step in the right direction. DADT is repealed. No more federal defense of DOMA. College loans made more affordable by eliminating the middle man. Investments made in green energy that both stimulate the economy and provide long-term structural reforms to help us compete in a new century. On foreign policy, aside from Afghanistan, he's been absolutely brilliant. He's able to build coalitions with allies and get everything in place so that he knows exactly when to make a move.
I'd say that basically he's a chess player, not a poker player. That's why he's so brilliant on the world stage, yet so impotent in negotiating with Congress. He can patiently think several moves ahead and position himself strategically to make the right move at the right time, but he doesn't know how to call the Republicans' bluff when they make their insatiable demands.
Anyway, like anyone in his position, especially in a post-Citizen's United world, he's made way too many concessions to Wall Street, but in the absence of any major Constitutional reform to get corporate influence out of Washington, I don't see that he has much choice. He's going to need corporate funding to get re-elected, even more so if the union-busting agenda of the Republicans is successful.

Obama doesn't know what foreign policy is. I think his actions towards Egypt and Libya speak loud enough. Obama Care
You're one of those insane liberals who doesn't understand about the real problems facing the U.S. Like $5 a gallon gasoline that we are probably going to be seeing in the near future, and the fact that Obama banned offshore drilling for like 7 years... it just boggles my mind.
Your post reminds me a lot of barack obama. A lot of words that sound nice but DON'T DO SHIT. If Obama has any chance of being re-elected he needs to get on board with more republican legislature, and drastically cut spending. The Obama debt is going to surpass the debt of the entire history of the united states.
What has Obama done that has improved your life? Increased debt, diminishing value of the dollar, rising gas prices, increased unemployment...durrrrr Obama is a waste.

Yeah, remember how good the country was doing before Obama? Man he really fucked it up bad...
How do you know that trickle-down economics doesn't work? B/c 1% of the population controls 38% of the wealth and they're banking on the poor buying shit to stimulate the economy instead of creating jobs!
Offshore drilling has massive environmental impacts. There's plenty of oil in Canadian tar oil sands to stop offshore drilling. It should be our last resort.
I agree he should cut spending, how'd a quarter of the defense budget sound? If we can't operate a successful defense on $300 billion a year when other countries don't spend $60 billion, why do those people have their jobs?

Rich people ARE the economy. They are the business owners, the employers, the REAL spenders. Besides, they pay 50% of their money in taxes...
Yeah, but do you think Obama will drill for oil here?! No. I agree we should decrease our dependency on foreign oil and drill for our own RIGHT HERE but irate liberal environmental nut jobs won't let us.
Do you realize that the United States is the single greatest force in the entire planet? Other countries don't have our power, so they spend accordingly. Why do THOSE people have their jobs? Who are those people? Europe? In Europe they consider 10% unemployment good. In the United States that's horrible. You're a tard.

you really don't think that Obama was working behind the scenes in Egypt? the CIA was definitely there. just because the media didn't report much doesn't mean Obama wasn't involved and looking out for the interests of the United States.
the military is in power now, the same military whos top officials trained at west point. the military that we have funded for the past 30 years. Our interests are protected and the people of egypt will get a democratic government.
bringing democracy to the middle east... wasn't that bushes plan?
isn't that our best chance to counter islama-fascism and terrorist organizations?
and it was done without a war, by the people of egypt.
win for Obama, and the people of egypt.

and you can't say that the US wasn't involved from day one
it was organized via facebook. a Google executive was captured by mubarak's people why was he in egypt?
because the revolution was organized through the internet, via social networking.
we had an aircraft carrier in the suez canal Obama has got his shit under control.
except in congress, his fiscal policy is fucked, hes devaluing our currency like some shit. but you gotta compromise somewhere
I didn't vote last time but I think id vote to re-elect Obama with a republican congress
