Should i?
a)smoke some dank tonight and save two hits of L off my ten strip, so i can have a stronger trip later next week with my boys
OR
b)drop two hits of some good L and read a good book
This is my third experience, i will have many more , but i was just wondering if reading will be mind-expanding or whatnot. I'm a pretty fast fluent reader, so i wonder if i could create a kind of movie, going on in my head.

Reading on L? With good dose, I'd have a hard time looking at words consistently as they'd be morphing and dancing..I'd save the hits so you can trip with your boys.

Hell, the buttons on my ipod usually confuse me when I'm shrooming, I can't imagine trying to read!

Personally I like to write on L. Write down all the crazy and amazing life improvement ideas that come to me. Reading a book on lsd while on lsd is redundent IMHO. I have successfully capture the love of my lsd trip on paper before.

Reading while tripping doesn't really work for me. A low dose is fine. I can't follow a book while tripping I don't think. I often will read a whole paragraph and get to the end and realize that I was thinking about something else the whole time, and I missed the paragraph, then I have to go back and read it again. I'm sure that would be much worse on LSD but I haven't really tried to see. I think I tried reading for a moment on mushrooms once, and found it confusing.
I think what you want for a solo LSD trip is good music and maybe some visual stimulation. Art or an appropriate movie (i suggest pink floyd live at pompeii). Even for movies I'd suggest not something with a lot of dialogue that you have to process. Something with rich visual imagery. I like to listen to music and just stare at milkdrop visualizer for hours.
LSD gives me a lot of energy. I'd want to be dancing around my room or going outside to explore somewhere. I'd imagine getting really restless and too easily distracted trying to read.

The only time I serious looked at a book, it on L, i was in a phone booth and the pages of the phone book were flying all around the booth, so I couldn't read them.

I read some of the Tao on mushrooms a few nights ago. It was extremely profound. I read like 2 or 3 just random passages, but the first one I opened to was just incredible.
I read them each over a few times, and meditated a bit on them and thought about them as poetry.. it was magical

Well I was more coming down than peaking or anything when I read it, but the funny thing is I did masterbate right after finding the words just too hard to keep track of haha... so many word, only two eye's.
But I only have one hand and two dicks, so I was just as overwhelmed with that task

reading is extremely difficult on LSD. I've looked through Be Here Now on LSD, but I couldn't sit down and read a novel or anything. The first time I took LSD, I did spend a fair amount of time looking at some "Far Side" comics in a book and laughing till it hurt.

This is one of my favorite things to do while on any drug. I do it with the internet and a lot of other random things as well. Tea Faerie refers to it on her erowid blog as 'random page oracle game'; good name for it. Grab any book that looks good and pick a random page and whatever you find will be the perfect thing for you to have read at that time.
Works damn near every time. I've done it the most on E at raves with other people... it's pretty fun if whoever you're doing it with is in a similar mindset. If you're alone it's fucking astounding. I'm grinding my teeth in flashbackyness just thinking about it.
oh; fwiw, I said "any drug", but that's not really true. It doesn't work so well when there's K involved.

2 hits of quality LSD good luck focusing on words. Watching movies, listening to music, looking at blacklight posters, laser pointers, trippy music videos, lava lamps, and mediation are all good ideas for trips.

Not everyone prefers to spend their trip imbibing electronic media.
Reading in silence while tripping is pretty god damn epic. Especially if you're in a minimally decorated environment.
Reading Be Here Now or Osho's The Pathless Path in a brightly lit room with minimal decor or a giant field on quiet sunny day pretty much guarantees transcendence of, at the very least, the experience of physically being. Think sensory dep tank, but with a more particular focus.

Well yea obviously everyone has different preferences for trips. I forgot to add one of the most important ones.
Nature go out and explore the outdoors.(especially sunrise and sunsets)
I've never done this but maybe a telescope when tripping to checkout the moon and stars
