It's certainly possible, just not plausible. How often do you meet people who have that type of intuition in everyday life? Not that many for me, maybe within my(our) own culture, but not necessarily in the outside world.
Directly from one of our favorite movies;
Quote:
"They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore. It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists. The dreamer is banished to obscurity. Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too. By dreaming, every day. Dreaming with our hands and dreaming with our minds. Our planet is facing the greatest problems it's ever faced, ever. So whatever you do, don't be bored, this is absolutely the most exciting time we could have possibly hoped to be alive. And things are just starting " -- Man on Train; 'Waking Life'
I believe him too, a lot of what we know about dreaming is merely observational, we really don't have any idea what's actually taking place or why. We just know it's happening, that our brains produce specific patterns of impulses and wavelengths, going through the routine and then waking up. But that does nothing to explain why, say, we have the capability of manifesting our dreams into our reality, incorporating the ideas we've learned therein. Or for what purpose dreaming even serves the body. It's just speculation.
Donno, if you really want to dwell deeper, try obtaining some dream herbs. Meditate before/after sleep. And start a dream journal.

I actually relate this to my post above.
I find it funny how many "skeptics" often do not seem to try to discern logical causes for the phenomenon they dismiss.
I think one potential mechanism of mystical or occult action (results) is a shift in one's own subconscious thinking patterns, that lead to different behavioral patterns, thus results-- just that this process happens at a much more "subconscious" level than the traditional cause-and-effect that we can easily see.
I think dream manipulation may work.
Regarding herbs: I have used calea z. with limited success. I have found vitamin b6 and (very high dose) magnesium to both be more reliable at influencing dreams.
Also other things like drugs (cannabinoids, psychedelics, sleep meds, diphenhydramine, nicotine patches) can have influence.
You can also look to non-substance techniques like dream incubation to help you along.
