sorry to hear that man.
There is nothing sad about it. Psychedelic drugs have put some great insight in my life. I do not have a need for them. When I use them now its only for recreational purposes or for a mind refreshening... but I feel that I've got what I needed out of them and I am done with them. This is a very positive thing for me. I've done more drugs than I should have for my age.
hahaha
you're funny
Best of the thread!

uber_aj said: I often wonder how y'all view the average man/woman that represents society as a whole. My views make me fairly pessimistic, but at the same time I have a lot of faith in humanity that comes from witnessing great feats accomplished by tight-nit groups.
I spent years in sales and whether I was talking to a homeowner or a coworker, the picture I have of society consists mainly of idiots who never question the nature of their daily life and spend their money as soon as they get it on bullshit they don't need in a pathetic attempt to impress the people around them. I can't cast the first stone b/c I went down that path too, I just saw that it was empty early on. I've also met intelligent, empathetic people who realized how unimportant all the material shit is, but they have been few and far between.
I told coworkers that I'd rather pay off another grand on my car loan than spend it all on clothes, sushi, strippers, cocaine and alcohol and they thought I was crazy. I pointed out to some of them (before saying it to my manager) that our product never worked; that we were stealing from small business owners to fuel our parties and lifestyles; they immediately shunned me. Nobody was willing to talk about it, instead they ratted me out to the higher ups as a dissenter and I was fired.
Based on your experiences, is this a fairly accurate picture of how most people are, or does my picture only represent the morally poor demographic of salespeople? I saw the same shit in the eyes of the homeowners I used to sell to, so I've used that as evidence that my perception is just the way most people are. What do you think?

I also worked in sales for a while. It really makes you hate people. Idiots...
The funny thing is, if you dont know how to research a product on google and read TONS of info and reviews from people who have actually used the item, then your an idiot, or old.
So by default, people that listen to sales pitches from paid employees who have no experience with the product, are idiots.

Manouvre between the unsavory habits, failed coping strategies and the autopilot functioning and you will find someone sincerely lovable and well-intentioned. Penetrate deeper and you find Divinity, you look directly in the face of God, face to face with That Which Is All Things And None.
When I see the Other, I see myself, and its often a shocking confrontation. Rejecting them is ultimately self rejection though - I try not to do that.
The average person needs a hug but they are too scared to let that happen to a deep level.
I agree, with the exception of some people that are just profoundly stupid. It sounds mean, less-than-transcendent, etc. but I'm involved with some and they're just hopeless. Not enough gears upstairs to be anything more than a glorified machine/animal. Sad, really.
