Hey all, just wanted to share some love from recent outings. I'm a noob, so my guesses are totally scratch-the-surface speculation. Any corrections are, of course, appreciated. Enjoy!
Tremella sp.

Morchella sp. in the backyard!

Pluteus sp. with a cool "barber pole" stem!

Clavulina cristata

Amanita var. alba

Peziza sp.

Some tiny deadlies!

Tubaria sp.

some super cool violet mycelium?

not sure...

Happy Friday!

thx dude only the second time I'm seeing them in person. is the browning/blackening normal? spores? maybe they have been there longer than I thought?
just went out and looked around some more. here's another couple... the second one looks a little more normal, yeah?

I'm pretty sure this is the same one I found here where 3 or 4 names were used, so I didn't bother listing one of my guesses. Alan called it Pholiotina rugosa, if it's the same sp. anyway...

Damn ryath im seriously drooling over those backyard morels thats such a treat to have soooooooo close to home!!!! take em inside and let at least one cap sit on some foil overnight - then wash them and fry them with some butter in a pan= delicious
yeah the darkening is just happening with age - prob the weather also - totally normal and just fine and dandy to eat yet!!!!
try making a print - or two!!! then you can still eat them too!!!
gosh we got a good 2.5months till they start popin around here - - - - - - -and i say make a print cuz you probably have a special woodloving type of morel too one that could actually be spread to other chip piles

yes Conocybe filaris = Pholiotina rugosa
I guess Conocybe filaris is the outdated name.

That's awesome - I just learned to crochet and made my girlfriend a scarf for her birthday. I'd like to find some good dye-pigment fungi and dye my own yarn.
Cheers Ryath!

rather than making new threads every time, I'm just going to keep updating here with my just-for-fun/sharing mushy finds.
as always, corrections are greatly appreciated. enjoy!
Leratiomyces ceres and the non-red one is, I think, the same as the next species below

I find these EVERYWHERE. anyone got an id?

Clitocybe nuba (Blewits) the maggots beat me again on these!

Stropharia ambigua

Coprinus lagopus. one of my favorites!

Coprinus micaceus forest!

Coprinoid?

Clathrus ruber. 1st time finding this one. Trippy!

Pluteus sp. I'd guess cervinus, but I don't know the genus well.

my heart jumped for a bit thinking this was a Gymnopilus luteofolius, but I don't know

Chroogomphus vinicolor

didn't try to ID this one yet

enjoy the rain!

C. atramentarius if I'm not mistaken. These things were prolific near bases of trees under lots of leaf litter... a lot more not pictured. Pretty cool!

Thx for the correction Twiztid. I keep getting these two mixed up.
The micaceus are usually striated while the atramentarius are usually smooth or scaly, correct?
