first flush. ordinary or extraordinory?

hi, this is my first successful grow after many failed attempts. a 1 pint brf cake thats been on top of my fridge since b4 thanksgiving and had been in a 2 liter coke bottle fc.( that it outgrew so is now in a 5 gallon water bottle) for about a week and a half b4 i even seen any pins. they never formed inside the glass. i still have yet to see that happen.anyway, it seems that compared to alot of other ppls pics of a first flush, this seems, well a little oversized. i was just wondering if its just an average sized first flush or if it is indeed a little big and if so, why exactly? to be honest, i just threw that jar on top of the fridge to get it outta the way for my 1/2 pint jars to go into the incubator. they never produced anything btw.i was gonna throw away this beauty cuz it just wasnt doin anything for so long, then 1 day i decided to d&r it and put it in a fc. 2 weeks later i have this lol.(im glad i didnt chuck it in the garbage)i guess what i want to know is was it maybe my impatience that always ends up in failure? it seems i didnt care about this 1 and it grew what looks to be to me a pretty nice first flush. i been reading posts on this site for months on how to do everything but nowhere does it say it may take 2 and a half months to colonize a cake to the point it will produce fruits. wen i wait a week after the jars are all white i seem to end up w/ nothing. the 1 time i just didnt care and left it for dead i got this wonderful thing hehe. any info, comments, advice, or similar experiances w/ other ppls cakes would be 100% appreciated. ty in advance =)

keep in mind that most pics of cakes on here are half that size, and thats probably got alot to do with why yours took much longer to fully col. it looks nice, congratz do you have the total dry weight?

A shotgun FC doesn't have a coolmist. That's where you messed up, not following the tek. But this grow is a great example of something I say over and over on this board- the less you mess with it, the better off you'll be.
Are you printing them? Cloning?

to be honest doc, this is all pretty new to me and those terms sound a little scarey lol. i tried so many times and so many ways w/ just failure after failure i didnt even think ide get this far. from now on though im sticking w/ the less is more strat. i used the last of my b+ syringe to inoculate 2 half pinters and put em in the cabinet over my fridge. i hope to get similar results, or any for that matter. im kinda worried im not gonna be able to get anything happening again. im just trying to stay optimistic and not go overborde this time w/ what i think is best and just stick w/ 1 tek instead of what i think based on what i read.

Printing = put a cap on foil, collect spores. Cloning sounds hard, but it's not really. Maybe not today, but you'll be ready soon.
My advice from here: 1) try to replicate how this happened 2) try to do it again and again

at 1 point i had the fish tank heater in a jar of water inside the fc because i read ya wand humidity condensing on the sides of the fc. well that sure made it humid lol. i added the holes for fae. see the first time i ever tried growing i just inoculated the jars and put em in the dark till a week after they turned all white. they were in the 2 tote incubator till moved to the fc. i bought a whole kit offline and followed the instructions and ended up w/ nothing. i never knew what i actually did wrong so i started reading and tweakink to what i thought would be best. apparently that was a huge mistake. i have read though that ya shouldnt put em in the fc till they start pinning inside the jar. i never seen that happen. i even let some cakes go so long i think they got funky. they were all stragly looking and turning colors so i threw them out. idk, im just glad to finally see some results. this is such a fun hobbie. i was thinking if i failed again i was gonna try my hand at some regular gourmet mushies just for the fun of growing something

sorry for asking this because im sure its been said a million times but while we're chatting hehe, what do i do w/ the spores? make syringes or can ya just dump em in a jar? i promise not to ask ya how to make a syringe if that is indeed what i need to do lol

Once you have a dry print on foil, you've got several options including syringes.

Very nice flush. A few more fruits than my first successful 1/2 pint cake- most likely the extra col. time and d+r contributed to this success. Keep it up! Once you get the hang of it it's EASY!

1 more question. what are the fuzzy ball looking things at the base of my mushies and in the cluster of mushies growing, all the mushuies look connected at the base by this massive fuzzy whatever it is. wen i pick, do i remove the whole shroom, fuzzy ball and all and if so, what do i do about the group thats all coming out of the same fuzz? just cut the mushies that are ready above the fuzz till they are all ready to be picked, then take the fuzz off as well? sorry if this is a retarted question lol

The fuzzy on the bottom in Mycileum... This comes from too much humidity or low FAE. Truthfully it is no big deal at all very common and nothing to worry about. GIve them a little more air an you will be fine. When it comes time to pull these bad boys just grab them by the clup and twist and pull,(multiple mushrooms) pull them out fuzzy stuff and all. Then you can pull the indaviudal mushies apart at the natural split. I will somtimes just roll the bottom of te mushy in between my fingers near the bottom to very easily push the fuzz into the stem. Nice cake.
