Okay to fib if giving blood

I'm giving blood today. I know they ask if you've used needles and I honestly just don't feel like getting into that. I've done IM and IV ketamine and I've done small amounts of dmt IV a couple times. Last time I used a needle was about a half a year ago though. I probably won't again. I'm trying to get more into a healthy lifestyle. It's taking a while and I'm probably drinking too much coffee but I'm pretty determined. Probably don't even have any weed in my system right now and I'm planning on only tripping on rare occasion (every couple months at the most).
So can I fib a little on certain questions. I mean they check that shit before using it anyway right?

nah you don't need to tell them. a year is a long time and if you didn't do it much, fuck it. it shouldn't even matter

I'm going with response 2. Thanks bud.
Don't see it as fucking around. I know they do extensive testing on all the blood they take anyway. I would just rather not have any judgmental eyes on me over something that doesn't matter anyway.

Yeah, I'm 90% sure they test all blood anyway. I say go for it, unless you know you have some disease, in which case you'd be wasting their time and resources.

Yea, what KE said. When you donate at the American Red Cross they test your blood and won't use it if anything pops up. They'll tell you if something pops up too.

You seem to have a pretty good handle on your needle use but should you lie to them?? There's no rock solid answer there. You gotta make up your mind on that.

Do you stand to profit from giving blood? One of the rules for giving blood is they don't want blood from people who have used needles. You have used needles, so they don't want your blood. Where's the problem?

i try not to make it a habit to lie to docs and such. they have a hard enough time dealing with people's bullshit as it is.

You probably already donated, but my advice would just be not to do it. There's still the very slim chance that you picked something up and they won't detect it. Giving blood is a good thing, but not if there's even the slightest chance you'll hurt someone. It's a dumb thing to lie about but I can understand why you would want to.

Answer me OP, you're anonymous so we'll never know who you are. Are you so desperate to donate, and possibly endanger someone's health, because you'll make some cash from it? I don't know if anyone even can get money for donating, I don't know how things work in the US.

I was gonna say that I found your one question a little out of place. What do I stand to profit? Is that all that matters? Something isn't worth doing unless there's a monetary gain involved?
No, they don't pay you to donate blood here. I want to do it because it's something good to do. I just read a statistic that only 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate and only 8 or 10% actually do. I'm also type O neg. So the red cross likes my blood type.
Maybe this was a bit of a pointless post on my part. I've actually already given blood once post-injection and lied. I guess I'm just trying to establish whether or not I would automatically be turned away for being honest.
Maybe the thing to do is to try being honest, as it has been 6 months now, and see what happens. The drive was canceled on account of weather the other day.
