Thesis publish questions
    #14023906 - 02/25/11 03:21 AM (13 years, 8 days ago)

So I finished, still waiting for copyright seal but realistically I may not get that for some time.

Anyway, I actually havent thought to much about this now. Where do I go from here?

Where do I post, submit my controversial thesis of the etiological reasons behind autism? It has solid hypothesis to build upon so it will be easily disproven or proven.

The only problem is having it be seen now in a official way so I may gain correct credit and this may reach the correct people.

What do I do now? I have no connections where I live and the professors Ive been talking to live 500 miles away. The one I talk to most is disabled right now.

I'm finally finished but I have no idea where to go to now.

Im not posting it here btw, until it is published in a better format to help protect it properly.

(Yes I am selfish with credit for my own reasons, that involve both an easier life for me and hopefully an amazing future)

Where do I go now? How would I get reviewers for a magazine, should I go down to the nearest college, Should I send it to doctors that are doing similiar research.

what do I do?

Why, I thought you knew this. Scientific journals accept articles from anyone! Here ya go man: http://www.thelancet.com/lancet-neurology-information-for-authors/how-to-submit

Let me know what 'desk rejection' feels like. Sounds like an exciting experience!

Any other things like it? and fucking shit that means I have to change format.

Again believe what you want, I do not care what you believe. I just dont understand why everyone has to try to point out something is impossible, like "Oh haha your a fucking moron, Im better".

It honestly gets really old.

Also that journal will not work I do not believe. Mine has no trials, just observations and 35 citations.

Oh man, the more you assert that you don't care if others buy your pipe dream, the more I want to tattoo on the inside of your eyelids that your ideas are moronic, illogical, derailed and insane. Also, your methodology appears to lack any of the aspects of accepted science, so you're going against the grain of basically everything in the scientific community. You sir, need attention from a medical professional.

Having said that, try this one on for size: http://www.plosmedicine.org/home.action It's open access.

So, 35 citations putting them all together with correct corrilations between all this connection neurology, psychological, biology.

Apparently using 35 papers from government sites explaining the combination of all these and the "unexplored" sectors.

Apparently, I cant do this. So I am automatically insane.

Please, as I have stated before. Will you just take one second to believe me and maybe actually help me?

Im honestly just getting sick of fighting with fucking morons.

I do not want to prove myself to you, if anything I would rather you stay blind as fuck and therefor I dont have to try to make you understand.

Will you please for once, see past one fact and maybe think of a different outcome, What will this outcome need?

This outcome needs a fucking way to publish his paper, thats what.

Now be less closed minded and help me because I know you can.

I dont understand why everyone needs to prove themselves better then the average person and make themselves feel better about it. You instantly hate on everything that is "Inconceivable", "Impossible". Of course, if you cannot see it happen it is not real and therefor should be considered nonsense.

I dont understand your reasoning at all, if you always believe this shit how the hell are you going to learn anything of value. Ive been saying it over and over again and this is the last time I say it.

I don't understand why you cant do one simple thing, Why it impossible to believe something "impossible"?

Im sure those professors can give you better advice than we can. You should try to talk to someone who has done research and submitted or reviewed papers to see what your next step should be. Plus there are a ton of different journals out there, some with more stringent guidelines for submission than others. You're gonna have to research that and maybe try submitting to different ones.

I can totally see why people are quick to dismiss your statements but whether or not stuff you say is true, you certainly have the right attitude about doing thangs so i hope things do work out like you intend. Most people are too attached to keeping their knowledge of accepted reality static, quick to dismiss anything that sounds extraordinarily.

Yeah well I hope its true. Took me way to fucking long to write for it not to be. Im glad I can think properly, unfortunately this still will never make me normal. I will always resort to my left brain for things a normal person would not. This makes me see conversation literally.

Its unfortunate but my cognetive ability, dexterity, overall wellbeing is much better after understanding how to balance this complex web of bullshitt.

Fucking bullshit man, Its just this stupid ass system that fucks up from our American diet along with other factors. Its just so retarded how we don't see how much these systems we are recently putting in fuck us up indirectly. Its fucking bullshit.

Were going to kill ourselves if were not careful and we unfortunately wont see it coming the way we are now. I mean this is long-term obviously, but still. Holy shit we need to get aware or die.

I dont know where I was going with that.. but um.. oh yeah. Yeah its such bs that we can create all these diseases on accident. Its just like how our education system is slowly making our generations stupider and how society is counterproductive and teaches the next generation the same thing.

Its just, oh man we are so fucked.

Family gues on

My thesis is copyrighted and sits in my University library, where it is archived and (I believe) cross-linked to the library of congress.

Copyrighting isn't difficult.  Just send the thing to be copyrighted.

In your last thread, you refused to listen to other people's suggestions about alternative publishing methods, so go to a journal and publish it.

In the last thread, I suggested a journal, in this thread someone else suggested a journal.  Each journal has instructions on submissions.  These are step-by-step instructions and not that difficult to follow.  What exactly are you having problems with?

I dont believe I can publish in most of these journals. I need reviewers, the other one I do believe I can.

Ive also already have it copyrighted but I do not have it archived, where could I do that? That would be easier then I could just post it anywhere and ask anyone's opinion of it to try and help disprove/prove it.

I mean Ive got even tests that could be done (unfortunately it needs open brain surgery). Theirs more tests but that will be the easiest to instantly prove it.

Well that's pretty clear...motherfucking OSLO

No but seriously, talk to as many prof. and dr. you can, biologists, md's, psychatrists, stuff like that, you need to get your name out and get know, discuss your theories with them and let as many know what you think, find ones in your area and preferably get them to talk to you face to face, it's basically all about networking from now on and making a name for yourself.

Good luck, you sound battshit insane tbh but maybe your on to something, who knows...

Journals assign reviewers.

You submit a paper.  The editor will look at it, and make a brief judgement of its acceptability.  Then it gets sent out for peer-review.  Usually, it's three reviewers.  They'll offer advice and provide an opinion on its acceptability.  You put in their changes and it'll get published.

Use citation software so if it gets rejected, you can submit elsewhere with minimal difficulty.

I'm not sure what you mean by archiving, mine was done automatically.  Go to your local library.  IMO your best bet is to copyright, then post online.

Okay well. All I really need to know is a journal that I can get published with no trials and just observational thesis with citations.

I dont know family guy is on. Thanks for the links though.

Almost every journal publishes "reviews".  These don't require new data.

I have to ask:  Have you ever read a peer-reviewed journal?  and do you know how to perform a proper literature search?  Maybe people have currently tested a lot of the stuff you are doing.
