I see no bugs, only scarring and a chunk of perlite.

Clearer pictures maybe?

Or a description....

Ok, now I understand.

It could be bug damage. It sort of looks like damage from bugs that suck the sap.

It could also just be normal scarring. Any small bugs in the room?

Some bugs only feed at night so if the damage keeps occurring I would get out a torch at night time and have a look to see if you can see any bugs in the area. They'll be very small so you'll have to look hard. A 30× hand lens/loupe is great for this.

You got me.

If it isn't spreading and no bugs are present I wouldn't worry. Probably just scarring from rough handling or other source.

Looks like scarring from where it got knocked up against something. Or maybe even grew too fast. Nothing to worry about.
